This book was actually great! I felt like many of the questions that were on the Ap test were very similar to the ones found in this book. Was able to get a 4 after reading the entire book around 2 times. Really surprised because my teacher had a very low passing rate.

My son got a 5 on the exam after studying with this and he wasn't a driven student!
I ordered this for my son and he got a 5 on the exam and said it really helped. So I'm pleased!

All of this book is wonderful! Content is spot on and, the term list is perfect. My only problem is the practice exams seemed a bit different. I would advise using the College Board Released short answers to practice, however the multiple choice is pretty spot on.It is the 2nd best prep book for APES (1st is Smartypants).

got me a 5!
My teacher had us take a few practice AP tests in class and I bombed them, so I obsessed over this book the weekend before the AP. I read the entire review section cover to cover, did the review quizes at the end of each chapter, took notes on the key terms, etc. The only thing I didn't do was the practice tests. One of my friends had Barron's AP Environmental Science and it was outrageously long and in-depth so there was no way she could review everything during crunch time, but the Princeton Review was much more basic and manageable. It definitely didn't cover everything that was on the exam, and it covered many things that weren't on the exam, but it was good enough - I got a 5. So I'd definitely recommend it.

This book is teaching me things I didn't know we needed for the exam. This book has very useful information and is not to broad and it is not to specific either. It's the perfect amount of information. I had a horrible teacher so I am basically teaching myself with only this book. I will comment later my score later because I take the exam in May.

Worth the investment
I have a student that enjoyed workin with this book, both the readings and the practice tests. His scores show dramatic improvement, and his self-confidence has improved.

Very useful for review, but some content errors
Negative: Several errors in the practice test and review sections. For example, the definition of NPP is wrong in this book. The book should have been checked by an environmental science professor before publication.Positive: 2 complete practice tests plus several chapters on content with practice multiple choice and free-response questions.

Best for review before taking AP exam
Half of the book is made of practice tests, so I recommend using this book before taking the AP exam in May. The actual content is too concise to make up for a lack of understanding on content (try Cliff Notes for that), but is adequate for review. I do like that the margins have extra space so that you can write notes in the book.
