Q: Is this sneaker a wide toe box?

Yes.....I wore these sneakers all over Italy for a month....cobble stone streets and lots of stairs.....they were perfect. i have a wide foot.

Q: how high is the platform?

Adidas agent here, the platform should be about an inch

Q: Shall I order my usual size or size down if I don't want them to look bulky on me?

It was for my daughter and was true to size

Q: I'm confused on sizing. Some are saying size down 1/2. According to the chart, it's saying go down a whole size and half. I'm normally a 7.5 or 8

I am always an 8.5, which is what I ordered. I think an 8 would have fit better but I did just keep the 8.5
