This case is very beautifully constructed. I had to replace the foam that was included as it didn't allow enough space to display my collection without extreme pressure on the glass. I found what I needed at Jo-Anne's and it now is a very handsome display piece for my Case pocket knife collection. So, if you are going to display anything but very flat items, e.g. medals, ribbons, pins, arrowheads, small gems, coins, stamps, documents, photos, etc., you will probably need to replace the foam. But the quality of the case more than makes up for any improvising. One change I would like to see the manufacturer make is for the window glass to be replaced by tempered glass.Follow-up review: I was thinking about purchasing another of this item and saw that it now (2021) costs $149.95, almost twice the price I paid ($79.99) when I wrote the above review in 2016. Doubled in only five years. I think the product has gone to their heads. It's a fine bric-a-brac display case but, still, it's just a display case. It's now priced like a fine bed stand or lamp table. I certainly won't reorder at their current ridiculous price.

The display case is an upcoming birthday present for my grandson, so it has not yet been used. I am impressed with the construction and quality of the materials and workmanship though and can't wait for him to see it. Update, my grandson has already filled the first case with his knife collection, so purchased a second one for his Christmas gift. The quality is excellent. I would highly recommend this display case.

I bought the smaller one before I got this one and loved it. So I had to get the bigger one and I loved it as well. Excellent for my knife collection. I will buy another one very soon. A very happy customer . I would recommend this for anyone who collect knives or anything else they want to display. Well made and very solid.

This was my second purchase of one of these cases. I was so pleased with the first one that I purchased a second one of a different finish. Product was as advertised and arrived in excellent condition. Any hobbyist would be proud to display their wares in such a finely crafted case.

Poor quality craftsmanship. Its a shame that what you pay for it the craftsmanship is of poor quality due to a 1/16" gap at the corner on the top lid which is noticeable. Will serve its purpose.

Since I've retired, I've looked for just the right display case for my law enforcement memorabilia. I found it with your product. The quality and workmanship of your case is exceptional and I'm proud to have it hang in my office.

Overall, the woodwork seems very good, nice corner joinery, nice finish. And best of all made in the USA! The only thing that concerns me however, is whether or not the glass will crack when we try to close it over some of our paleo-indian artifacts of various thicknesses. It may be necessary to replace the foam inside with something more forgiving.

Very well made. Only reason I did not give 5 stars is it would be nice if other colors than gray were available for the top layer of foam. Will definitely purchase again when I need another case.
