Perfect paper. Doesn't need stretching and doesn't buckle
An artist on the internet recommended this paper because it doesn't need stretching and doesn't buckle. It works!

The best non-cotton WC paper I’ve tried. Reliable shipping.
I just got another Bockingford Pad in the mail.:) Wow! These guys are excellent! All the way from Europe, it arrived much earlier than expected, very well-packaged, and in perfectly new condition. Thank you! As I mentioned earlier, Bockingford WC paper is the best general purpose, non-cotton, Watercolor paper I’ve tried. It is forgiving, making it easy to lift/edit color and get those precious highlights back! Being an oil painter in the past, I’m still struggling with saving the highlights, etc. - watercolor is a different animal.:) So yeah, when I like to use a non-rag paper for certain projects and esp. for practice, I use Bockingford. Made in England. Great service and reliable shipping. I’m pleased. Thanks!

Comparable to Arches Rough
I generally use Arches paper for my watercolor paintings. Thought I'd try an English-made paper. The texture was closer to Arches Rough than Arches cold-pressed paper even though the Bockingford is sold as a cold-pressed paper. The Bockingford is more of a brilliant "white" than Arches cold-press white. I enjoyed painting on it. The colors seemed to be more translucent. I will use this paper again.

Very nice paper. It does buckle if you work very wet, but stretching will take care of that. Lovely texture, and while I didn't torture the paper it did seem to handle abuse well (lifting, working wet, etc). Will purchase again.

As fine watercolor paper is
As fine watercolor paper is, it's on the pricey side, but....worth it. Absorbs and pools like a dream and has very high durability.

Just beware if the size matters..........!
Lovely paper but beware, I purchased it specifically as it is advertised as 10” x 7”. This was important to me as it was to fit inside an antique Reeves painting case. However, it doesn’t fit as it’s actually 10 1/4” disappointingly. I don’t suppose that matters a jot to most people but it’s why I give it 3 stars, otherwise I’d have given it 5!

Excellent affordable pads
I use a lot of these pads and they are a good affordable product with a light texture that I like. They hold watercolour very well and I find them easy to work with, particularly for the portraits I paint.

Excellent paper
Whilst not the most expensive watercolour paper, this is very good and tolerates a lot of lifting of paint. A must for the inexperienced painter like me.

Dont use masking fluid with this paper!
Lovely quality thick textured paper perfect for normal watercolour painting. However if you use masking fluid be warned that when removing it you are very likely to also remove some of the paper as well!
