Ni idea, but it does allow the phone to be charged wirelessly on non-Apple wireless chargers.

Whats the grip like on this case?

The grip is good, but it has an annoying embossed logo right where my right hand middle and ring finger sit. I ground this out and also ground the sharp edge on the charge port area, where my little finger supports the phone. I still use the case as it looks good.

Is the metal frame slippery?

It's not metal, it's plastic & no - this isn't particularly slippery.
