Review: Good Monitor Lightbar - Brilliant! I have it installed on top of my LG Ultragear monitor, and it fits well. Dead easy to install, literally just a clamp (a bit like a webcam, really). Light is really bright, lights up my desk really nicely at night and when doing work/eating etc. Remote control is actually really useful, I never have to touch the lightbar & the batteries last ages (I suppose it's only used very infrequently to turn on/off, adjust temp, etc). One thing about the control - the Power light does remain on at all times, even when not in use. Good value for money, same level as BenQ's equivalent!

Combined with dark themes on my software and desktop, I have noticed a massive reduction in eye strain. This light is a great task light when the keyboard is your only physical task, or in combination with a desk lamp that is focussed on your paperwork. There are lots of adverts around for "super-bright" and "daylight" lights, which are all the opposite of what I want. In fact, finding a light that is gentle on the eyes can very tricky. This light is capable of searingly bright, cold-coloured light but is also capable of the kind of light I want. I suspect the dimmest, warmest extent of this light will be too extreme for some but it suits me well. The beam shape and penumbra are just right to cover the keyboard with only a small amount of spill. The swivel feature means that it can be angled to miss the screen completely while illuminating the keyboard fully. I prefer this kind of lighting to back-lit keys as i am almost fully a touch-typist but still need to glance down occasionally so need an easy way to aim fingers at keys; the function keys and top-row number keys in particular are nowhere near burned into my muscle memory. With back-lit keys, my size 10 hands cover up most of the illumination, thus defeating the purpose of such keys. The body of the light feels as though it has been milled from a solid piece of metal so I am confident it will survive well in my work bag alongside my laptop and all the other bits and bobs that make up my portable office. The blurb and photos indicate that the light is intended for desktop monitors but I am actually using it on my laptop. It works well for me. I have a portable power supply anyway for when I am away from mains power for extended periods and, if I use that instead of taking power from my laptop, I can work for a long time while still leaving spare power in my laptop for later. For shorter stints, taking power from my laptop is not a problem.

**Q: My monitor has a very thin bezel, 1-2mm. Will this fit without obscuring the top of the screen?**
A: No unfortunately, it wil cover at least 5 mm as you can see, even the benq one, unless you want to compromise I don't think you will find for that tyof monitor, they need grip to hold on to something...

**Q: The light bar is a little loose and the light drops off gradually, what should I do?**
A: Hi, our screen light with remote control has two silicone pads at the 2 pivots, after removing the pads you can use the small tool in the package to adjust the tightness of the screws, please see the video for details of the process

**Q: This monitor light bar is straight, is it suitable for curved screens?**
A: Our ScreenLinear Pro+ is designed to fit perfectly on curved screens and is compatible with most conventional screens. Although the light bar is straight, we have upgraded the spring clip length and weight to hold your curved screen and conventional screen very well, you can also view this video

**Q: My light flickers sometimes. Does anyone know why?**
A: The required operating voltage of this lamp is DC5V-1A. If you plug it directly into the USB A port of your computer, when your computer is sleeping or in power-saving mode, the output voltage is not up to the lamp's working requirements, the lamp will flicker.

Brilliant! I have it installed on top of my LG Ultragear monitor, and it fits well. Dead easy to install, literally just a clamp (a bit like a webcam, really). ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Excellent desk lamp

I was using an old fashioned angle-poise lamp on my desk but decided to try this instead. Immediately it provides much more light than the old (halogen 20W) desk lamp. I can select warm white, warm, white or brilliant white colours. You can dim and brighten the intensity to suit your individual needs and also there’s an inbuilt sensor which can alter the brightness automatically dependent on environmental ambient lighting conditions. I use this light in the corner of our lounge fairly bright (mid range) on a warmer colour, but then tend to use it on brilliant cool white when I’m using my pc. So it’s used in anger as both a workstation light and as a general purpose background light when we’re watching tv. Very versatile and useful. A little bit pricey really to be honest, but it is a quality metal built construction. Mine sits well on to of my particular Samsung monitor but I could see it being annoyingly wobbly and easy to topple on top of a much thinner bezelled monitor, like say an iMac screen which has very thin tapered edges. You need a fairly think top edge on your screen for this to sit sturdy and not fall off or move whenever you press one of the touch sensitive control buttons upon the top edge of the light. All in all, I’m pleased with it as it lights up my desk and frees up the space that a free standing lamp would otherwise occupy.
