What is the difference between wine yeast and wild yeast

Wine yeasts are more tolerant to alcohol and hence can produce more alcohol and thereby a stronger wine. Wild yeasts and most baker's yeasts have low alcohol tolerance and produce light wines.

Can i make rice beer with this yeast

The answer is YES. I have made great wines too with this yeast - ginger, rice, pineapple, red grapes etc :)

Yeast delivered is dead. Not able to ferment.

Looks like some package are filled with old dead yeast even in new pack. Not able to ferment this time. I have bough in sept22, opened now, both packets are not working and have fine powder.. expected is grained type.
