Moki didn't use thisitem to climb up on, so I backed all the metal screws out of the wooden rods and put the rods into his habitat to use as hurdles.Moki loves to jump over things, so I also used them to put in his large playpen spaced out in a line to huddle over when he is out in his large playpen getting a little gym time.I really like the feeding cup that screws into the base. I put the wooden base in his large octagonal playpen and will add some seeds into the cup for him to dig out. The base is really nice and the three wooden pieces permanently attached to it are one more thing Moki loves to jump over. The base is a nice solid platform to scatter seeds all over for foraging enrichment.I give this item five stars for quality and versatility, especially with the rod screws easily coming out with a small lock wrench and some twisting.

My hamster became the talk of the town - with this nifty little jungle gym. Too bad he moved to Venice shorty after - arrivederci Butterscotch....you magnificent creature!

the climbing toy is great . Syrian hamster is tall tho and standing on tallest perch he is reaches about 15" high. we have a 17 high bin cage so it's ok for him, but keep that in mind for your hamster height standing up on it. it's just as pictured and made well. highly recommend if you have the space and height for it.

Hamsters are not good climbers and my hamster didn't like climbing this thing at all. He would just squeeze himself between the pegs if he needs to get through it.

Missing a piece! We got it put together but missing a crucial piece that holds up the bridge. Contemplating returning it. Otherwise, sturdy item!

Not as pictured; instead of the rustic-looking logs, we got plain wood pegs. It is sturdy & cute.

Fits perfectly in a 10 gallon tank. Very entertaining for our little buddy. Sturdy and easy to put together.
