We've attached extra 12 hooks that can stick  to a flat surface directly, such as glass,marble, tile, wall , mirror, stainless steel or any flat; the other is that these can be fixed on an exterior wall or wooden surface with 1-inch nails (there is a small hole in the middle of the clip),  Two ways can be choice for hanging this light. We suggested that you can stick the hooks on your daughter's dorm then hang the light. thanks

**Q: will the glue damage the wall?**
A: They are cheaper versions of 3m sticky hooks. So most likely not

**Q: Is the "warm white" light really "warm" in color? I am looking for an orangy, warm cozy hue, not "white." Let me know if "warm white light" will work!**
A: My lights are yellowish in color. Not cool white.
