James Bond: The Timothy Dalton Collection (DVD)

Dalton is criminally underrated
First off, having read the first two Bond nove ls, I can say that Dalton portrays the Bond that Ian Fleming created, almost perfectly. He can play the ruthless, cold-blooded-killer side of Bond, as Daniel Craig does. However, Dalton also does a verygood job at making bone feel like a human being, rather than just a killing machine. As far as the films go,The Living Daylights is one of my favorite Bond films, so naturally I think it is a verygood film. Also, if you have seen thecinematic travesty known as A View to a Kill, and hated it as much as Idid, You will really like this film. However, license to kill is somewhat of a letdown coming off the living daylights. I mainly feel that the plot about Cocaine and stuff is kind of boring. But I really like the way it does a much better Revenge story much better than quantum of solace Did.What is the Bond package well worth checking out. While I didn’t like the second film as much is the first, I still highly Recommend both films , because they’re both very well done .

It's important to know that it was a fairly good movie
Timothy Dalton is not as good as the other chain spawns the movie was pretty boring halfway through he's not really romantic not in my view but in the end it was good had a lot of action I still have to watch the second video

Timothy Dalton is arguably the best James Bond.
Timothy Dalton is arguably the best James Bond. These two films balance his era perfectly and are among the best in the 007 series."The Living Daylights" has espionage and romance, presented in a more elegant manner. The music score by John Barry is superb; and Dalton, a classically-trained actor, gives a performance that shows vulnerability, care and rage (watch the balloon scene)."Licence To Kill" has a more action-oriented premise with higher octane action and a superb villain (Robert Davi). The action is tremendous like when Bond escapes one perilous situation by waterskiing behind a sea-plane. Also, the tanker chase finale is among the best action ever presented on film, with Dalton doing a lot of his own stunts.Highly recommended.

Far better than Roger Moore or Pierce Brosnan in every way
Timothy Dalton is one of the two best Bonds (the other being Daniel Craig) in my opinion because he is gritty, multi-layered, and serious while still being likable and having some wry moments, as is true of the character in Ian Fleming’s novels. I didn’t miss the cheesy, smirky one-liners and the swaggering, excessive womanizing of his predecessors one bit. His method of acting Bond is enjoyably subtle, and he communicates a great deal in one wordless expression or a flash of the eyes, undoubtably a benefit of being classically trained as a stage actor. It’s a shame that he couldn’t play Bond in more than these two films, but I enjoyed Dalton’s portrayal in both films despite some weak female acting in “License to Kill.”
