Are the sizes shown men's, i do not see where to select women's sizes?

Hi Andrea, Yes, these are Men's sizes. I wear a Ladies size 7-8 and I get Men's size 6-7. Or Ladies size Medium, then Men's size Small. I hope this is helpful. Wendy, Customer Service

will these work for wide feet?

Hi Higal, All of these boots are sold in men's sizing and they do not come in half sizes. As the other person said, if you have a wide foot then consider going up one size and that will generally cover you. Hope this helps, Thanks Instructor Bill

Is it hard to swim with?

As stated by those who answered above me, these are NOT made to wear while swimming. If you want to wear something on your feet for cold water swimming, you want noeprene water socks, not booties.
