READ BEFORE YOU BUY!!! First, if all you want is an upgraded Plate Setter, buy this...However...if you want more versatility for just a lil more money...keep reading. Youll thank me later. :)I do NOT represent anyone here with this review. I am just a fellow EggHead trying to help other EggHeads make informed decisions.I was unaware of the Large Adjustable Rig Customer combo made by Cermaic Grill store. The price of this setup is about $20 more but it gives you so many more possibilities and almost doubles your cooking surface.Check it out by doing a quick google search...watch the video they have on their site. If I had known about the Large Adjustable Rig before making this purchase....I would have saved alot of money by not letting this plate setter just sit and rust away (meaning never ordered it) and I would have been cooking 4 full racks of ribs ages ago... (i own a LG BGE)if you are looking for a solid plate setter...this is the one. My order came quick. It does rust rather quickly, however. Hope this review helps some others.

Great heat deflector and cooktop. Its a pain to clean and heavy but very nice, more sturdy and durable than the ceramic. I would definitely recommend this product, I had the ceramic heat deflector from BGE, very nice as well but broke when I dropped it.Very nice to sear steak and burgers on.

I had the green egg plate setter and it ended up being broke by some workers at my house, so I replaced it with this cast iron version. Big mistake - I live in south florida very near the ocean and gulf of Mexico, so this has rusted horribly. I hate to even touch it, and forget about using for a grill plate.Stick with ceramic

I broke my ceramic platesetter after 3 years of careful use and wanted something that I did not have to worry as much about.This cast iron replacement is a nice replacement at very little more expense than the original ceramic model. Plus, Idon't have to worry about breaking it.Highly recommended.

Broke my ceramic plate setter for my Large BGE and replaced it with this cast iron one and couldn't be happier. Sturdy and just works. Highly recommend it. I also have the cast iron grate as well and it's great for cooking steaks!

I purchased this when my 2 week old ceramic plate-setter fell and broke. This cast iron (metal) version of the plate setter will not break and has the added feature of a cooking surface. I highly recommend if you have a BGE.

This is a great grilling accessory to have. It works beautifully in my Visions Grill (similar to Big Green Egg). It is solid and sturdy; fits neatly inside. A real quality product, would really recommend this.

Excellent product. Speedy delivery. This platesetter is far superior to the BGE product. Heavy cast iron construction is built to last. I love it!
