Removes ashesives well and has a lot of uses. *by J***B on November 6, 2025* I've been using this for a while to clean the heads on my reel to reel tape deck. It has worked really well. While I can't be sure that it's definitely 99.9%, it is a very high percentage of isopropyl, which I can tell since it evaporates evenly and quickly off of a piece of glass. Try that with 70% from a drug store and it takes a long time to fully evaporate. Also, while this states it's not for medical use (and you shouldn't use it to sanitize anything. 70% is actually the most effective in breaking down cell walls and destroying bacteria. It's counter-intuitive, since most of the time, a higher percentage of something will be more effective, but alcohol is an exception) I have poured some over a bandaid before removing since it softens the glue and makes removal much less painful. With that, it will also remove glue residue from many surfaces. It can sometimes take a little work, but it's effective. I'll give the standard disclaimer that you should always "try it in a small and inconspicuous spot first". I would follow that since it can definitely damage some surfaces; especially finishes and clear plastics. Three more things: 1) seal the bottle well and keep it in a dark and not-too-warm place, otherwise it will evaporate the contents of the bottle quickly. 2) keep in mind that you should try not to breathe this in (you're probably going to be fine if it's just a small amount) and keep in mind that this is incredibly flammable since it vaporizes quickly. Don't light anything near it, nor use it in any kind of heating or lighting device unless it says to do so and you know what you're doing.
