Simple yet will challenge and change your thinking.
First things first: this book is about: "the biblical guide to earning, spending, saving, investing, giving, and getting out of debt"The reason I got this book is, being a Christian, I wanted to understand the biblical way of dealing with my finances. After reading a few chapters I quickly learned that "my finances" isn't really my finances but God's (the book explains it well). It is things like this that challenges the Christian; however, it is so loaded with scripture that you will be glad to accept the challenge of conforming your way of thinking to the biblical way.The book is very resourceful, you'll be referring back to this book for the rest of your life. It is easy to understand and practice; so much so that I plan to teach from it at church someday and like I mentioned it's filled with scripture so you are learning what the Bible teaches not the author's own opinions.I personally gave this five stars because I'm satisfied enough that I don't think I'll need any other book of the topic.

I read this book 2 years ago (borrowed from my best friend), and helped me a lot to administrate my money in a better way and get off debts when I was absolute broke. That is why I decided to purchase it this time (I am free of debts now) because I want to have it on my personal library and read it again to improve my relationship with money, based on what Bible says and in my faith in God. Could be a better way to do this? I don't think so! I highly recommend to read this book and apply the principles Dayton suggests, because its a proven method (I did it myself), and really, really, really works. God bless you.

Focuses on Perspective more than Management; Wise & Biblical
This book focuses a little more on the biblical perspective of how to view and think about possessions/finances than the doing of of budgeting, planning, tracking, investing and saving. It’s a very sound and short book, but I think I was looking for something else. What Howard Dayton offers is valuable, insightful and has real life examples but it’s not as explicit on the teaching of financial management as i hoped.I’m gonna be turning to Randy Alcorns books to see if he goes into it a little more in-depth, as well as Dave Ramsey’s guide.

Helped me to budget
For years I struggled with budgeting and usually gave up for inconsistency. But after reading this book I've learned to budget, and include giving as a category. Since then I've reduced my debt significantly and saved as well.

Excellent book on money management
This book is an excellent book on money management, written in an easy to follow style, and related continuously to modern life and all of the trappings and consequences of the "keep up with the Jones" lifestyle. This book lets the reader see why Christ taught that the love of money is the root of all evil, and that man can only serve one master. A must read!

Used book not new
I paid for a new book but when I started to read the book I see that it was used. There’s writing in the book.
