You can see the hot glue in all the seams...
Looks very cheap in person. You can see the hot glue in all the seams, like it was a school project. Makes sense for the quality and the price. I thought I was getting a good deal for 2 but I would rather spend more money on an item that was well made. Update: just saw the other piece; it was glued on distorted/bent. Hopefully my video will upload to show it. You can get better quality at the 99cents store. 1 star for this soap dish. It looks like before, in previous reviews, they used staples to hold the pieces together and now changed to glue. They need to go back to the drawing board on this one.

Cheap junk, don't bother.
On first glance, these are ok. But on the second day of use, while pulling off my bar of soap which became stuck to the dish, two of the slats came off. Looking at it, the slats are held on with tiny (I wouldn't call them nails) wire used at nails. No glue. Luckily I had a spare from this two-pack. The second one lasted a day longer than the first. No use trying to repair these. Into the bin they go and I will be looking for silicon soap dishes now.

Excellent soap holder, durable, too
Very useful for storing my soap bar, that I use for my face. It is the charcoal soap, from a Japanese manufacturer, and it is quite an unusual sized soap. It's rectangular, and long, rather than wide. In spite of not entirely fitting within this soap holder, I like that the soap bar rests on this holder quite comfortably, and dries out well. I've been using this holder for a few weeks now, and the wood is also holding up well in spite of the moisture content in the bathroom. In case the first one wears out, I have a spare one, too! It also looks great, and actually looks and feels expensive. Two thumbs-up from this gal!

Very disappointed
The stain on the wood comes off anytime it gets damp. My sink is white and is constantly covered in the brown stain. The bar of soap sticks to it and isn't easy to clean off. An one of spindles pulled right off when trying to pull off the soap. I like the look of the soap holder, but that's about it...

Prolongs life of my soap
I bought a 5-pack of Zum bath soap and I was keeping it in the soap dish installed in my shower. The combination of shower water beating down on the soap along with the standing water that collected in my soap dish was literally melting the soap away. I went through 2 bars of Zum in only a week. I bought this soap dish and keep it on the edge of the bathtub behind the shower curtain. Doing this has prolonged the life of my soap. Now 1 bar can last me almost 2 weeks.

Excellent value. Very affordable and nice looking.
These look very nice in the bathroom and kitchen. The wood maintained it's finish even with soap and water sitting on it. Others who have visited my home have purchased them because they work well to reduce loss of soap by promoting drying of bars and look nice.

Quality is as cheap as the price
Pieces are hot glued together. One was broke when I opened package. The other fell apart within a week after being exposed to water. You get what you pay for.

Great looking - Concerned about longevity
These are very fashionable, and look great in our shower. My only concern is the wear of constant water over time. You can still feel the wood grain, so I am concerned that in time it will become frayed or warped looking. Overall, very nice, and for the price, even if they do warp over time, they are cheap enough to just buy some more.
