Sevitti Travel Automatic Umbrella - Premium Quality Instantly Dry, 10-Rib, 42" Wide Durable and Windproof

This umbrella is very nice to use. I usually use another umbrella with a canopy, especially for very windy days and sometimes the wind is still to tough for them. Also, the canopy umbrella is good for two people, sort of golf size but sometimes, these big umbrellas get in the way, a lot when walking in crowds. This particular umbrella fits my bill when I am alone, solo. It is 42 inch and I believe what makes this more windproof is the added ribs. I saw other peoples umbrellas and this one stood out of the pack with I believe it was 10 ribs rather that 8. This is definitely what makes it stronger against the winds. I finally used it and had significant winds and it did not flinch at all. Perfect. The open close feature is great. Opened great but to close was a little more harder, though not a deal breaker. Use close button than in semi-closed position, push the top closed with your hand to handle and its done. You can still close by hand by pulling it close once it has withdrawn to the semi closed position may be a little tough. I bought two of these and I am very happy I did, as its nice to have a spare for when my son visits. This is so far a definite keeper. I highly recommend it especially at this price. Will update down the road if necessary but meanwhile 5 stars is in hand.

I love this umbrella. Works as advertised and its a nice size. I didn't give it 5 stars because with all umbrellas that are auto opening, its hard to get them back together in a hurry. The handle fits my hand well and its a little sturdier than I expected. I will update this if anything goes wrong within the expected couple of years of life.Update: As you can see, it took awhile to go from 4 stars to 1. I had used it once and then it sat in my truck unused for about 3 months. . One day I looked and the handle had spung on its own. I couldn't close it and it would not lock open. after a few tries I got it to close, I hit the open button and it shot across the room with the handle still in my hand. It was enough force to fly about 15 feet. Fortunately it did not damage anything.

I purchased it in July 2016. I put it in my car and did not use it for months. It rained in December 2016 so when I opened it, there is no top spring or rider latch to hold it open. It rained again today January 23, 2017 and I was hoping that I can use it for good, but it is really not working. The spare part to control the umbrella to open is missing so I put the partly opened umbrella on my head to avoid being drenched LOL. I wish I could return it but it's beyond the return period . Doesn't work at all which is unfortunate as this umbrella is a big one.

well made and delivers upon it's promise. the canopy is not as large as i'd want it to be but it is durable enough and can sustain a good load of wind. For those commenting about strong winds - i really really don't see the point in using an umbrella when it's so windy outside... other than struggling with keeping it upright - you will not manage to keep yourself dry no matter how well your umbrella is constructed. use a storm suit if you want to go outside in a stormy weather.

This Sevitti umbrella got broken on the first use. It opened fine, but on closing it stuck and would no go either way. There is no way now to open it or close it completely. Terrible design. And because I did not use it for a month, there is no way to return it.

5/6 this umbrella did not get a lot of use until this week when it rained a lot in the east coast. Turns out it could not take the stress of opening and closing. It literally fell apart in my hand when I last went to open it. Now I'm out an umbrella and no means of returning it for an exchange. I'm feeling very cheated at the moment

Read the reviews about the 10-rib frame and put it to the test in NYC. Definitely best umbrella I've ever owned. I walked around the corner in the rain and caught a city wind gust. Watched everyone else struggle with their hardware while the Sevitti Umbrella held strong.04/04/16 Update:Just contacted the seller because of a problem with my umbrella and the Amazon standard warranty has expired. SKL Prestige comped me on a replacement. Great customer service and still endorse the product 100%.

I purchased this umbrella for travel. When it arrived, I tested it to make sure it worked as advertised. Unfortunately, the very first time I actually needed it, the umbrella failed. It would only open to the point where it normally closed and would no longer lock open or closed. I am very disappointed!
