It came with a good size dent but it didn’t hinder anything and I figured I’d do worse to it so I didn’t return it. The metal is so durable that I haven’t been able to put another dent in it, so I’d really recommend this for people who are at an intermediate level of photography, or possibly for high school or college level students.

I initially bought this package because I had broken the clamp that I had previously used to stand my iPad in a bigger and slightly unwieldy tripod. The clamp that came with this package feels pretty solid and provides a bunch of configuration options including the ability to mount in portrait or landscape. It can work with iPad and my iPhone as well, so that’s awesome.The tripod itself is a nice size for many small jobs. I got it as a more practical stand for my iPad when I am doing video calls and it is well suited for that or similar tasks. The unit is compact and works pretty nicely as a desktop tripod when fully collapsed, and when it is fully extended it exceeds 4 feet in length, so that opens up more options.The head does tilt and pan but there is nothing smooth about it. The locks seem to work pretty well, but the action is so bad that even if the pan and tilt aren’t locked out, your stuff isn’t going anywhere. If you intend to use this tripod for making video, it’s best to keep it stationary and not go for the action shot.I’m not sure how much weight this is rated to support, but neither my iPad nor my Sony a6100 with a small kit lens have even made it whimper. I will say, though, that I would be very careful about going big with this thing or using it under a hard load.In conclusion, this tripod and iPad mount are consumer grade, but it really is a good value and a solid little unit if it stays in its lane. Use cases abound! Streamers, content creators, exhibitors, video conferencers and so many others could stand to benefit from this package! This is probably as good as any similar product at this price point. Celebrate what things are, not criticize what they are not. I’m satisfied with my purchase!

It’s been a good little tripod. If you need something to take on a trip that you can beat up and not worry about. This is a solid option. It’s not perfect, and the wind blew mine over one day, but for 95% of youre shooting needs it will get the job done.

I’ve purchased this product three different times and I’m very pleased with the product. Very stable, very sturdy, holds my iPad into place pretty good as well.

I returned this item only because I was unable to securely mount the iPad in a vertical position as required to read a multi-line music score for rehearsal. It works beautifully for horizontal mounting if that's what you need. I also like the options for height adjustments. I couldn't use it and could not find any answers from the seller or amazon. It was returned.

It fits the 12.9 Ipad pro in a landscape style, you can however move it to a portrait style, It's not very straight but manageable. The set up was easy and it comes with a small bag. For the price it's a good buy.

This is a handy thing and sturdy. My grandchildren use it for their Tik Tok adventures and I have used it with my tablet to talk on Zoom during these Covid times. It is easy to adjust and rotates easily. Very compact and easy to take with you.
