Where is this product made?

Hello Sari - the plant is native to China and the far east, so it is grown there, then brought to the US for packaging. We have had our products tested for heavy metals at a certified, independent US lab, and they pass with flying colors.

I am wondering if I could make a tincture or ointment from this and then apply it directly to my joints? Has anyone tried this?

Topical application is typically for skin conditions such as psoriasis. For joint and arthritis relief, oral use is most effective.

How much Celastrol can I expect from a capsule of this product?

The manufacturer is NOT telling us how much of the ingredients per capsule so that dosing can emulate that found in the peer-reviewed literature. This is a huge omission. The amount of the various components of tripterygium wilfordii or TwHF (triptolide/tripdiolide/celastrol/etc) for sure is not provided. There are companies that make pure triptolide, such as Sigma in the US, but there is no access to purchase if you are a consumer. The supplement "industry" in the US is pretty much uncontrolled. Contrast this with the German E Commission which actually delves deep into the above issues and then certifies a supplement.

Are the capsules pork aka pork gel or veggie?

They are a bovine gelatin capsule.
