Works great, a little tricky to first get started.
So with this heater I noticed that there was a lot of issues with people lighting it and I feel that's user error. You need to prime the line with gas before it can light. But once it's primed, it's pretty easy to get going. The box was damaged In transit. But didn't affect the heater.

Lots of design flaws
It gets the wall REALLY hot. So hot you can't touch it. 207f according to a thermometer. We have wood paneling which gives cause for concern. It should sit farther out from the wall than what the spacers allow. Like 1 inch instead of 1/4" or have more adequate heat shielding that extends above the heater. I'm going to install sheet aluminum behind and above it as a heat sink. The pilot light started out blue but turned into a whispy orange flame that is tall, almost touching the sight glass so that's not right but I don't know why it's doing it. Seems it's sending too much gas to the pilot or the pilot isn't made right, or has some gunk in it let over from manufacturing. The long screw for attachment of the outdoor plate and vent cap was bent, and it's just a piece of all thread. The flathead screw head that goes on it comes off when you try to back the screw out which is a pain in the butt.It also doesn't heat super very well. 17000 btu makes it sound like it'll be only slightly cooler than the 20,000 btu unit I replaced with it, but at 70% efficiency which is only disclosed after you have the unit in your hands it's only 11900btu which is 60% of what I had before from a blue flame heater. It warms it up in the room eventually but you'd need two of them to get as much heat out as we had before.Company that makes it is basically unreachable for contact. They don't even have an email. You can contact them by text but they just try to gaslight you into admitting you did something wrong on the install instead of offering solutions to their dangerous and poorly designed product. It makes heat and will work if you are able to fab up your own heat shielding or install on a non-flammable wall but don't make the mistake of thinking that it's a complete kit. You'll need to be able to do your own manufacturing to make this thing work.

Ignore the bad reviews
I was able to install the heater without any problems. You MUST follow the instructions in detail, step, by step and it all comes together. After holding the button down for a few minutes to bleed air out of the system, it fired up immediately. It does smell a bit since it is new but I'm sure that will wear off. i don't understand what the bad reviews are all about and assume that the reviewers don't know what they are doing.

Pilot light does not heat well
pilot light dose not work correct It has a nice 4 finger blue flame and when the burner lights the pilot light turns into a 6 inch high red flame the color of a lighted match. Needs a new pilot light assemble. I will the company Do not buy this heater . It does not heat a well insulated room 322 sq foot room . Most the heat goes out the exhaust . It takes 2 to 3 hour to heat up 10 degrees . It does not do the job . But this not a returnable item. So I am stuck !!!!!!!

Spider in gas line inside the heater
I could not get the heater to light after mounting and connecting.Called the guy who ran the gas line and he used a pipe cleaner to clean out the gas line.We found that the line was clogged in the last one inch of the connection next to the igniter. We disconnected the gas, took out the ignition unit. Separated the last two connectors on the gas line so he could insert a pipe cleaner in. He pulled out a tiny bit of spider web and it started easily after assembly.Must have come with a spider from the factory. Was told that compressed air to clean the line will not work. Need to use a pipe cleaner.

1970s style heater.
If you want a simple, well-built silent heater that just works well, this is it. No wall thermostat, no Bluetooth, no app, not linked to a ring account, no wiring.Fantastic, exactly what we wanted.

It quickly heats my 2 car garage.
This is my second garage heater. The first was just too old and had a cracked heat chamber. The Good: It is nice to look at, heats my 2 car garage and has easy controls. The flue pipe has fiberglass insulation wrap for heat safety. The Bad: For it's size, I think it costs too much, but it looks like ALL the contained flame heaters are more. The Bad, continued: Easy instructions UNTIL...You have to do a lot of metal cutting for the thickness of your wall. The seal up against the back of the heater is just pushed up against it and seal pressure is from the outside piece secured to the siding, so if you cut flue pipe or intake too short there could be a gap where gases escape. It took me 30 minutes to hang the heater on the inside and 3 hours to cut flanges, and 2 pipes, caulk and paint. If the heater came with the intake and exhaust pipes already attached, the box would be Ginormous! Maybe it should have had big threads and the pipes screwed into the heat box?Bad continued part 3: The burn in. It took about 5 days of burn in with a very bad smell. I had to leave the garage door open and fans blowing. I used a respirator when out in the garage. Conclusion: I love it now, don't know how long it will last. It's made in CHINA. A mean, aggressive communist/socialist country that wants to take over the world! I couldn't find one made anywhere else. Maybe they're out there. Keep looking, but I have no idea how you would find out how the flue part is assembled. Maybe from reviews like mine.
