After the birth of my son I started having painful intestinal attacks. I mean horrible, awful, send you to the E.R. painful kind of attacks. After about a year and half of bouncing from doctor to doctor and having probes put EVERYWHERE my doctor informed me that I had I.B.S. and was suffering from colon spasms. He prescibed me an anti-spasmodic medication and sent me on my way.Well, the problem was, I had to take the pill after an attack started to happen and it took about 15 minutes to kick in. Which was pointless, as by that time the attack would be over. I turned to apple cider vinegar which has a natural relaxant in it instead which has been amazing for me. I start to have an attack. drink some apple cider vinegar and then about two minutes later the attack stops! Anyways, I ordered this supplement because I am starting to work out again. I took this supplement when I was younger and remember loving the results for after working out. I have been taking them for almost two weeks in the morning when I wake, and right before bed. Yesterday I was doing some reading on the benifits of Glutamine and read that it's a huge help for people with IBS and general digestive disfunction. It was then that I realized I haven't had a SINGLE attack since I started taking them!!! This is so incredibly HUGE for me! I generally have at LEAST three attacks a week!!!! I cant tell you how amazed I am that this little bottle, that cost under 10 dollars was able to do SO MUCH FOR ME! I will buy this product for the rest of my life! We have this on a subscription so it's delivered automatically but in this last order 1/3 of the capsules were stuck together in the middle of the bottle making them unusable, however, usually, these are great. Several capsules were broken and the powder was all over the other capsules and the inside of the bottle. I held the bottle up which you can see in the photo with the capsules stuck in the neck of the bottle in a clump. This was the first time we received a bottle like this so I sent a message to the company to let them know. We haven't had any problems before and we are really happy with Optimum Nutrition's L-Glutamine. We have found the product to be consistently good quality, good with muscle soreness. Helps with digestion and gut health so far.

Caps instead of powder is the reason I keep buying this one. No scoop, no stirring something flavorless into a shake, just swallow them after training and move on. It takes four to hit a real dose, so 240 count runs about a month and I order two bottles at a time. Nothing dramatic to report, which is what you want out of glutamine.

It's been a good product for me already, especially now that I am over 6 decades old. It wasn't long ago that this fact literally slapped me in the face of realization and I decided to start fighting back against age in the best way I knew how, which means a lot more gym time when I can get it. I decided to change my weight lifting routine to fit more of my desired results and age.....rather than lifting heavy weights with just a few sets and reps to produce mass and raw strength as I did when I was younger, I decided to go with a routine of lighter weights with an increased amount of reps and sets to help with muscle tone and balance and, of course, to burn more calories and fat to combat a natural slowing of my metabolism. It's seem to have worked out better, but I believe that it tears the muscles down more to exercise like this and the recovery time was admittedly a bit long @ first. This is just one of the ways where this product comes in handy. Glutamine is supposedly the most abundant amino acid in the body and rather than buying a good BCAA product, I decided to get this and combine it with a good Isolate Whey protein powder and a good dose of Creatine before and after exercising. This regime has already helped to cut the recovery time down to virtually nothing for me, even though I've increased my weight limits by 10% to 20% depending on the particular exercise. Granted, I still hurt a bit the morning after but I don't think that I would be making progress without that being the case....that's just the nature of weight lifting. But instead of days of down time to recover, this particular combination of supplements has decreased it to about 1 - 1.5 days and then I'm good to go again. It just seems to me that when you tear your muscles down by lifting, then they just get hungry and you have to FEED them with what they need most and, for me, this product is exactly that. Good product in my opinion and damn good Seller.
