The first one that I purchased was damaged in shipment, and the box showed evidence that it had been dropped. The bottom foot on one end was dented, and inside, the platform that the heater mounted to was also misshapened. I've since replaced it, and have installed the new heater.I opted for placing the heater outside and piping the heat in through an insulated duct. This way, not only is the risk of exhaust coming in the RV virtually eliminated, but it also allows the heater to pull in external air for both the combustion and the heating air that is used to warm the enclosed RV environment. The reason I did this is because these RVs are not airtight, and so you have drafts everywhere. By pushing the heat in through a duct in the window, I'm raising the air pressure inside the rv, which, instead of allowing drafts to come in, actually forces air out through all those openings which tend to be along the floor, and the bottom of the slide, and around the door, and up through the engine compartment and into our bedroom mattress (🥶).I created a plexiglass panel that's form-fit to the window frame, with a hole cut to fit the duct, and I used taped foam insulation to surround the edges of the plexiglass to give it an airtight seal, and aluminum backed tape to seal the duct to the plexiglass. I brought it in through the bedroom window, so that at night, I can reduce the fan speed and still be cozy warm.As a result, I no longer have cold drafts throughout the rv, even in high winds. Instead, it's one balanced temperature throughout, and running it on the low setting constantly, my internal heater almost never goes on. This is great because the internal heater is propane and being more inefficient, would cost me more to run it and keep the RV comfortable, and of course since the RVs propane heater is pulling in the air from inside and heating it and pumping it back out again, there is no pressure differential between the outside and inside, so drafts are problem. I realize that by placing the heater outside (in an under-belly compartment), it's pulling in very cold air to heat the inside of the RV, so there's an efficiency loss factor, but the trade-off is that where I used to have freezing cold feet all the time, that's no longer an issue.This has basically eliminated the problem of drafts and cold feet altogether. I couldn't have been happier.

DOA> Unit arrived quickly. 5Kw Diesel heater failed to ignite right out of the box due to a sensor failure E11, so said the weak little voice emanating from the the LCD controller whose screen was so dim it can only be viewed in near darkness. Do not Buy. Avoid maXpeedingrods and all their products. All the 1 star reviews were exactly my experience so these issues are no mystery to the seller.Update: Seller will reply to emails only once per 24hr period, I can safely assume as a delay tactic. Seller attempted to force me to perform diagnostic and troubleshooting tasks on a defective new out of the box heater free of cost to them. That's a Negative ghost rider. Amazon made it right when maXpeedingrods refused to take responsibility and failed to provide proper customer support on a DOA product.

Pros: its quieter than other diesel heater, shows Fahrenheit when most others only have Celsius, and the way the plug disconnects is nice.Cons: you have to put the feet on a raised platform because its too low for enough room for the hot exhaust pipe to run underneath it, especially if you’re placing your heater on a surface that could burn…I wasn’t interested in having to alter this thing to sit taller. Another big con for me is that I was having issues starting mine because my power source couldn’t provide enough amps and when I contacted customer service, while they were ultimately helpful, they were very pushy trying to get me to give them a 5 star rating while still on the phone and wanted to me send them a screenshot of my review before they would proceed with fully helping me and I had to get pushy with the guy before he dropped it. It could have been just that one customer service rep but it seemed very unprofessional.Ultimately I returned mine but with some slight design changes and if customer service would have been better, I think I would have liked it.

Decided to try a diesel heater this year so many of them out I went with this unit. I was surprised how quiet it was only thing I noticed it's picky what power source you use with on the first start up.

Great product, works well and excellent customer service!

First it runs for 15 hours plus on full tank at 72 very impressed with the unit, however the app does not work. Everything else is perfect. Highly recommend this. I bought the AC adapter for when I have power. Going to run 12 volt line when I do not

The first one I received would not power on. The second one powered on and worked relatively okay until it got under 20 degrees out. Then I had all kinds of issues with it, including the remote no longer working, the Bluetooth no longer working, getting errors stating low voltage or battery not having a high enough charge. I had this hooked up to my Jeep Gladiator 12v plug which has a dual battery and meant to handle high amps/volts. I also had my portable generator (2kw/12v max) and both had issues getting the heater started in the cold. When I contacted the company they offered to send me a new board for $20+ shipping. Very poor service and product. I wouldn't recommend this brand.

This heater is unreal, by far the best purchase foe my van. Works perfectly well, not had any problems what so ever with it, the remote for it works very well and suprisingly reaches far! The app does have an issue but on my andriod phone ive found if you turn bluetooth on, then turn wifi and mobile data off it connects no problem without crashing. This is fantastic and not like most chinese rubbish!

Installed in a T5 - works really well, warms up quickly and keep the camper cozy despite the weather outside. There are a few ways to install these heaters inside the cab under the drivers seat using a turret plate (you can buy these on Amazon or eBay) which was my choice given it recirculates the warm air or externally on a bracket feeding the hoses in to the cab. I also opted to replace the fuel line (with better quality clamps) with the stiffer white acrylic ones which seems to be what most people do for safety / dampen the vibration from the pump (again Amazon or eBay). Plus purchased a standpipe kit so it can feed off the main tank, which you need to drop to get into the sender unit. Remember to leave an inch or so off the bottom so it cannot drain the tank.It’s fiddly to install yet you can easily do it in a weekend. It really helps to have some decent ramps to drop the fuel tank and so you can get at the under tray to run the pipes / exhaust etc. Then it’s a 127 mm holesaw to fit the turret, install then run the cables / heater control back to where you need to. I had to extend that wires but that’s a 10 minute job.I also purchased a rubber case for the pump and was careful how I mounted it to minimise the ticking - it’s very clearly the nemesis of many given the videos on the ticking pumps, however mine is not really noticeable apart on initial startupYouTube is your best friend as I had a few error codes that I needed to clear - I had an issue with the fan sensor that was easily solved on YouTube and also another error where I needed to buy a new control board for a few quid.All in all super pleased and for the price these diesel heaters are brilliant value for money - they are simple and the parts are easily available plus there is a tonne of support online for them.Delivery was fast, price was great - it would be better if decent fuel lines and clips were supplied instead of the cheap stuff they ship

Mettre le connecteur de la pompe côte chauffage et amorcez à la bouche avec le tuyau.Ouvrir le chauffage et rajouter de la durite de protection sur les câbles pour plus de fiabilité dans le temps (ça chauffe à l’intérieur jusqu’à 250 degrés !)La chauffe est plus que rapide et chauffe bien bien fort. Il faut baisser la puissance après la première mise en route. Pas besoin d’un 5kw ou plus pour un van type T4 VW même châssis long.Super content du résultat.

Had no problems installing into my caravan..just measure twice cut once.instructions on module couldn't understand but with help through U tube , very easy.

Works at present good but I had other similar products which did gave up after few months. Install and package content are good. Just the power consumption on start phase is Hugh. I have a big new battery and it is dropping down to 10.5V below lower voltage and it will cut off. Running over night on one battery charge 100AH is not possible. On lowest running level 1 is still too hot. At present it works fine.
