Smith and Nephew 66800270 Allevyn Gentle Border Dressing 4" x 4" - Box of 10

I would give these 10 stars if I could! 100% recommend them for anyone who has an infusion site. These are the only dressings that stopped my son’s pump from going off a night due to occlusion alerts. The extra cushion takes off the pressure, they are super comfortable and pain free when removing, which is important when you have to change them constantly or check underneath a lot. They are also waterproof! I can’t even tell you how much money I wasted trying other dressings. I’m beyond happy I found these, seriously a life saver!

Allevyn dressings are second to none - when you are dealing with wound care - it it gross, un-nerving and so you don’t need the stress of leaky bandages that won’t stay put. These perform much better than the cheaper brands - and Allevyn is sometimes in short supply - especially the 4” x 4” dressings. The edges seal much better, and the pad does not stick to the wound.

I highly recommend these for open sores. Being a Nurse for 30 years, I've used these very often on my patients. So I bought a box and they also work in place of a bandaid. Gives some extra padding. Our Medicare store in Brenham Texas sells them for at least 1 dressing for over $10. ( And their not to friendly) and for a box of 10, it equals out to $1. A piece thru Amazon...... Best place to get medical supplies if you know what your looking for.

I have used both, the Allevyn life, and the Allevyn Gentle versions.. Both in 4 inch by 4 inch in size.. Both have their benefits, depending on what you need.. Both seem to hold in place good, and work fine for my needs.. They both have good absorbancy properties for wounds that drain a lot.. The difference between the 2 is this.. The Allevyn Life version has a smaller pad in diameter in the center, but it is also a lot thicker for more cushioning on the wound area.. Because of the smaller pad, there is a lot more sticky, or tape type area, that helps it hold in place, and sealed better.. The Allevyn Gentle version has a bigger pad, which means less of a tape surface to hold the bandage in place. The absorbent part still has a nice cushion to it, and is still absorbent too.. I think both are about the same in absorbancy, just that the Life version is more focused in the center, where the Gentle version is spread out more.. Both are good bandages for wounds that drain a bit. If I had any complaints, it would be price.. Over $2 for one bandage, per bandage, when buying them by the box is not very cheap.. But you get what works and is best for your needs..

These bandages do not hurt when you take them off but they stay on until you do. They are very comfortable.

The patch has helped to protect the area. In our situation the skin was not broken and the patch helped to protect the skin so it wouldnt. I would recommend this product

Perfecto como aposito de contención . Ideal usarlo con algún otro producto . Y saber cuándo retirar ya puede resultar contraproducente . Pero el aposito cumple lo que promete
