Perfectly Good Batteries
I use a lot of batteries as most of us do in this day and age. When it comes to batteries I've always felt that it was worth it to spend a little more to get a good battery because the cheap ones just aren't as good. So I always spent the extra bucks for Duracell or Energizer batteries. Well, this time I decided to give a cheaper brand a try, especially after seeing that these Maxell's got pretty good reviews. I'm happy to say that I was not disappointed at all. As far as I can tell, these Maxell batteries last just as long in my cordless mouse as the more expensive brands with no loss of performance at all. And the price can't be beat. I paid $12.34 for the 48 pack which comes out to about 25 cents per battery. You can't do much better than that. Stop spending extra for a popular name: these are just as good!

Excellent battery value!! Great for Wii remotes!
Excellent batteries for the price, they came fast and fresh. These have been performing excellently in Wii remotes and remote controls, with no discernable difference between other brand batteries! Something to remember is that not all devices pull the current from the batteries in the same manner, and everyone's experience will be a little different. PROS: * Inexpensive, and a multitude of replacements * Fresh/new * Fast shipping to my doorstep CONS: * The box slowly falls apart after awhile, no big deal OTHER THOUGHTS: For anyone considering the difference between name-brand for less, think about this hypothetical situation where a name-brand lasts longer: Name-brand for $4 which lasts 3 months Off-brand for $2 which lasts 2 months If you spend $8 total, here's what you'll have: Name-brand: 6 months of battery life Off-brand: 8 months of battery life It doesn't take into account for every variable, and everyone's usage will be different, but gives you something to think about. For high-drain devices, name-brand usually offers the best bet for the money, but when talking about button-battery-devices, these are perfect!

Good value decent lasting
I have a young son and we go through AA batteries like water. Found these to work nicely in a lot of his toys, but they don't last as long as some of the other brands. Don't get me wrong, I'll continue to buy and use these, but they seem to be better off used for items that don't require continues use (TV remotes, alarm clock backup batteries, child toys that make sounds, or to keep around in the event of an emergency. If you're buying these for high powered devices, such as digital cameras with flash, or anything like that, you'll notice the batteries die quickly. They are however, very great batteries for the price and so far I've been happy with their shortcomings for the prices. I still find these to be a better value than most other batteries I have used.

Work great, as good as most batteries, better than a lot
I review a lot of products and I need to always keep batteries around. This is a great deal for the price. I'm happy with the power and function of these batteries and the box is great to store them in. They have as much power as most standard batteries, except perhaps Energizers, and they go about as long. I like them better than Ray-O-Vacs personally, and they are much better than most generic batteries. The box I got seemed very fresh. They are a handy, inexpensive solution for powering toys, small lights/flashlights, and lots of other items. They are made in China.

Five Stars, update:11/28/2020: down grading from 5 stars to 1 star, bad batch or bad seller?
Good cheap way to have batteries on hand batteries. I have them on subscription to save even more. Up date: 11/28/2020: down grading from 5 stars to 1 star, bad batch or bad seller? I purchased these batteries in the 48 pack six times from 2013 through 2018. The first five batches (2013-2016) seem to have worked fine (that is, I have no bad memories of them). Since the last (sixth) batch was purchased in December 2018, I have experienced a large portion of the batteries leaking, both when in use, standby, and while still in storage. This has not been just recently, but over the past year or more. I use AA batteries in various types of loads such as radio controls, flashlights, electric toothbrushes and even a small cordless screwdriver. Fortunately, no equipment has been permanently damaged, while some required cleaning. Based on the negative reviews from the 2018 on time period it seems that there was an old or bad batch sent out then. I have had to toss out leaking batteries and I suspect some good ones that just got covered in potassium hydroxide (thick clear liquid that turns in to white powder, the “alkaline” in “alkaline batteries”). Interestingly, some from batches purchased prior to 2018 and placed in equipment seem to have remained leak free even though purchased and placed in use prior to 2018. Upon reviewing my purchase history for this product, I just noticed that the 2018 (suspected leakers) batch was sold by “TandHProducts”, while the batches prior have “Amazon.com LLC” listed as the seller. This may or may not be coincidence This has been very disappointing. A low price is no good if you must throw out a significant percentage of the product. As a corrective action, I will no longer purchase Maxwell batteries going forward, but will buy almost any other brand. While I have no such problems with the Maxwell AAA’s purchased in a similar time frame, I am going to avoid the brand altogether, at least until I find some information that explains the issue of the leaking batteries.

I just keep ordering these
Back again, 5th time in 2 years, these batteries are very good, maybe even great. My battery usage keeps going up as our kids get older. We have four Xbox 360 controllers that are used nearly daily. Save your breath, I've tried rechargeable batteries, but there's two kids in the equation. I get up to find all the charged batteries used, but none put back into the recharger. We also tried the Plug and Play kits, but wouldn't you know it, those packs get lost during sleepovers and whatever in the heck else kids do with those packs. I probably could save money with rechargeable batteries, but these Maxell are the next best thing. They have very good life spans and are cheap. I do admit, I kept my Duracell cardboard trays and just ration these batteries out between our family members with those trays. We don't just use them in video game controllers. Remotes, those little helicopters the kids fly around and scare the puppies with. My wife and I also both work from home (most of the time) and have wireless keyboards and mice. Kids have wireless keyboards and mice too. My only change would be to pack them in trays like Duracell does. This brick or stack container can cause an avalanche of batteries if not opened carefully. Hey, when the biggest complaint is about the cardboard you use, you know you're doing something right. Time to hit "add to cart".

Average Batteries at an Amazing Price
These get 5 stars based on value. You will not find another bargain online where you get 48 AA batteries for this cheap. The price on this seems to fluctuate on Amazon. Ive seen it as low as $10, and as high as $13, but even at $13, its a great deal. The batteries themselves are a step up from the no name generic AA batteries. They wont lost as long as Duracell Lithium or Ni-MH rechargeable batteries, but they are perfect for general use around the house. I've used these in remote controls, garage door openers, digital thermostats, quartz wall clocks, and other low power devices and they will last well over a year. I have a AA powered electric toothbrush and these last about a month in there. I've used them in a digital camera as well, but thats where their limitations really start to show. For high powered electric devices like cameras, you need to get better batteries. But thats not what these are for. 48 batteries that you can use in most devices around your house for this price is an amazing deal! I highly recommend everyone get a box of these and put them in a drawer somewhere in your house.

Seems to have more duds than other brands
This is the second time I purchase these batteries. The first time around (a while back) it seemed like we had a couple of duds in the pack... most batteries worked great but every once in a while we would use one that seemed to not work well or die fast. I didn't pay much attention, I figured maybe the device we were using was faulty or maybe we had mixed batteries when taking them out and I was using an old one, or something else had happened. I did decide not to buy these any more and to stick with different brand when we ran out of these. We stuck with other brands for a while, and did not have these issues. Well, I was browsing online looking for batteries again recently and I saw the price for these was good, so I thought I would go ahead and give them another chance (they seemed to have good reviews). Well, once again I would give someone batteries for a device and they would come back later asking for more... This morning I decided to check it out myself and gave my son 2 new batteries so he could play wii with his siblings. I changed the batteries myself to make sure they got changed properly. Less than an hour into the game the wii machine said his remote had lost connectivity. I took the batteries out, they felt very warm, I placed them back in the remote, and it still didn't work. I took two new batteries from the pack, put them in, and the remote started working flawlessly. The other two kids did not have issues regardless of the fact that they we playing the same amount of time. Maybe there is some other variable that affected the remote, but after changing the batteries the second time the remote has continued to work without issues.

48 in a box. How?
It's a value pack. Somehow they manage to fit 48 AA size batteries in a small box and ship to me across the country. I don't know how they do it, I'm just glad they can. I sit them on my desk and admire them daily. It's good to be alive.

Good product. For the price
Similar duration as famous brands, but half of the price. Thing I dislike, it came without any individual package(usually 4 pack). But it don't bother me because I used it mostly for household applications such as remote controls, clocks, flashlights, thermometers and etc.
