Oxford Mathematics Primary Years Programme Student Book 3 [Facchinetti, Annie] on desertcart.com. *FREE* shipping on qualifying offers. Oxford Mathematics Primary Years Programme Student Book 3 Review: Great workbook- like the larger format - I homeschool and was looking for a math book for my 6th grader whom has a math disability. We have tried many different workbooks , all without success. Pro's- The workbook is a larger size ( length wise) which allows the problems to be written much clearer ( numbers aren't small and squished together) The problems and concepts are taught to be solved in multiple ways. "Jumping", verticle, horizontal etc. This has helped my son, whom may have difficulty solving a math problem one way, be able to learn new way to solve it. Numicon- we have just started using Numicon - which is primarily a UK "maths" teaching tool. This book shows the Numicon shapes. Even if you don't use or know Numicon- the shapes pictured in this book is very helpful for kids to visualize the math problem. In otherwords , you don't need to know what Numicon is. Problems per page- I like they don't shove 80 problems on one page. The amount seems to be "just right". My son doesn't become overwhelmed when he looks at his assignment and sees the amount of problems. Repetition- each concept is presented in various ways and over several pages. It's not quickly taught and then moved on. This ensures the concept is taught and remembered. Cons- No answer book- meaning you have to do the problems- luckily it's basic math- but higher math could be time consuming for the parent. Honestly as a US homeschooler, a large part of our circululm is pulled from the UK, especially math or "maths". It seems they are much better at addressing different learning styles. We will be continuing with this series. This is mainly third grade math- addition, subtraction, measurement , word problems etc. Review: Meus filhos usam na escola.
