Eastern Feast - Dry Foul (Fava Mini), 2 Lbs (907g)

This fava beans are perfect to make traditional Egyptian foul recipes, but like almost all dry beans this have very hard skin and extra cooking care is essential, soak for 24 hrs in water with baking soda to tenderize the skin, discard the over night water and add new fresh filtered water, slow cook for 8 to 10 hrs for optimum tenderness and here you have perfect home made fava beans not from a can. I also add some more Baking soda during the cooking prosses to add additional help in tenderization.

The small size of the bean is perfect for slow cooking and serving Egyptian style. The skin is very soft unlike the larger size version of fava beans that require serious machine blending. It is delicious. I hope they restock soon!

It can sprout in few days. After cooked , tasted delicious. But they are too small

I love Favabeans, so having a reliable source on the kitchen shelf is important. These are the smaller variety but easy to cook and sprout.

This is Fava Mini, which is very different from the regular fava beans. Unless you know exactly this is what you want, don't make the same mistake as I did, because this item CAN'T be returned.

Package arrived on time in perfect condition & the product looks exactly as it should. Will review further after cooking, but so far, very happy!

These were mostly bad. They had black/green dots on them.
