It's great for the kids too! We have read this book so often in the year that we've had it that it's barely held together anymore. This truly is THE book for kids who really love dinosaurs. You and your child(ren) will learn 26 dinosaurs- one for each letter of the alphabet. Many are new but there will be a few familiar faces too. We have quite a few dinosaur books, both fiction and non-fiction but this one is the favorite. If your child isn't a dinosaur lover they might be better off with dinosaur fiction.Pros:-The pronunciation! It's wonderful. I can now confidently point out a Parasaurolophus or Ouranosaurus and state their name without hesitation. It's hands down the best feature of this book, especially for the parents.-The details. You can find out how big each dinosaur is compared to an adult man and how some of them compare to cars, buses, kids and more. You'll learn what each dinosaur eats, what their name means, if they are fast or slow and much more information. It's easy to read each entire page or keep it simple for younger readers by only reading the names or talking about the pictures.-It's a board book. Another reviewer stated that it might deter older readers from seeking out this book and I agree, but it also makes it a sturdier book. There should be an edition for older readers.-The pictures. They are realistic rather than cartoon-y.Cons:-The size of the book makes it difficult to fit on a regular shelf. I understand that there is so much to fit on each page and that the larger words are important for younger readers but it does make it harder to store.

i bought this for my nephew and he adores it! the a-z style is making it easier for him to remember the alphabet as well as learn about dino’s he’d never heard of

I originally bought this book 10 years ago from amazon for my dinosaur loving boys. They really abused this book for so many years. We would have to read it several times a week and my kids would flip through the pages on a daily basis during quite time. I was packing up books a few years ago and put this in the box to "save for grandkids." I had to get out packing tape to fix it as the spine was falling apart and pages were ripped and falling out. Last month I put a bookshelf in the guest room and decided to put all the books I had saved on the shelf. Seeing this book, I knew I needed to replace it. I was so happy to find out that Amazon still had this book. Once it arrived, each of my kids read it several times before we put it on the shelf. I'm so glad they will be able to share it with their kids some day.

This book is great, with explanations of how to pronounce complicated Dino names, pictures, and short descriptions about the dinos.My only complaint is that it uses lesser-known dinosaurs where better known ones could have surely been used. Although, this might be exactly what some people are looking for. It just frustrated my young child when he pointed to what he thought was a carnotaurus or an iguanadon to find out that those dinos were neither of what he originally thought, but dinos that looked very similar that we have never heard of before.Besides that, everything about this book is pretty cool. Like I said, some people might be looking to teach their kiddos about dinos that may not be thought of commonly such as triceratops, brachiosaurus, t-rex, etc.

We love this book! Our little one absolutely loves dinosaurs we got this for 3rd Birthday. The images are realistic and provides good information. The best is what the pronunciation of the dinosaur names are. I struggle with being able to see all the different names when reading through different books. Highly recommend!

This is a good size book for little hands with a different and colourful dinosaur on each page. It also explains how to pronounce the names of the dinosaurs. I don't think it is in print as I had to buy a second hand one which was in excellent condition.

Bought for a Christmas present - the book is very bright and colourful and full on interesting information for dinosaur fans - I’m sure our little girl will love it.

Avoid if you're buying for young children as the book uses very obscure dinosaur names and are difficult for young children.
