The best rice ever. Fragrant, full bodied, nutty flavor. Also it's a healthy nutritious carb with a lower glycemic index than white rice. I've never liked American short grain brown rice, found it sticky and gummy. This rice has the brown jasmine rice more defined texture, and a wonderful flavor.I serve it with all full flavored foods from Italian to Thai to hamburgers.

This rice is absolutely delicious. I especially love that its a multigrain brown rice and if course it's flavor, texture, and fragrance is just amazing. I first tasted it at a Thai restaurant...I just had to ask the waitress where I could buy this rice. She was nice enough to show me the package of rice, so I took a photo of it and googled it when I got home. I ordered the 2.2lb bag but am looking for the 10 lb bag locally.I just love t so much!!!

There was a warning label on the package that said, it contained arsenic and the product violates California law, and consuming it might cause cancer.I have allergies and other health concerns, so I threw it in the trash without even opening it. I wouldn’t have bought it if I had known this. I have no intention of ever buying this product again.

This isn't the best brown rice I've ever bought, but it will do fine. However, the purpose of this review was to rebut the previous reviewers who stated that the label said it contained arsenic. THAT IS NOT TRUE! Golden Phoenix is Thai rice, which doesn't contain arsenic. Many California rices do. It is the results of prolonged water pollution, which has left trace elements in the ground water. I don't think it's enough to worry about (I don't know of any deaths resulting) but California is a little kookie and so California rices carry a warning label. But not Thai rices, so I think the other reviewers were careless about looking at labels.

This is first time purchase for me. Didn't expect anything until I tried it. Used a rice cooker and cooked according to the instruction. Came out really nice and tasted better than the regular white rice. Will be eating brown rice from now on.... the texture is heavier than the regular white rice... I feel this brown rice is similar to eating wheat bread. Will stick to this brown rice from now on.... Cheers!

I had to experiment with instructions. The bag says to use 5 cups of water with one cup of rice - very big error - rice turned to mush. Standard two to one ratio, cooked in a heavy pot worked fine. It's two rice varieties - probably what gives it so much good flavor.

I had this rice at a local restaurant and finally able to find it on SmileAmazon. Just follow the directions and it's super easy. I added a small dab of butter for flavor but overall, it's good.

Vegans & Vegetarians beware! Bugs will hatch in these unless you freeze the package when purchased. That means the larva eggs are already in the package just like wheat flour! That being said I like this rice. I have been a life-long lacto-ovo vegetarian (mostly)! Even the most strict vegetarian will unknowingly eat a bug protein sometime in their life. I will purchase this again soon!
