Love these fins
I love these fins. Classic design that just plain works. They deform when kicking to channel water in the right direction. I generally use a frog kick. They are good for that and also very good for flutter kicks. Mine are slightly negative buoyant. The length firs in my travel bag well. A little more expensive than alternatives but worth the price.

Great Fins
These fins work well. Perhaps the best thing about them is the foot strap. The fins use a simple (but the best I have seen) strap made of surgical tubing, making these the easiest and fastest fins to put on and take off. I have used these to board a dive boat in rough water and they were a breeze to take off. No need to fiddle with buckles or straps, just grab the loop and it is easy to unstrap in one smooth motion. I wouldn't hesitate to jump in the water first and then put these fins on. The fins perform well in the water. I have not had any cramps or blisters in 7 straight days of diving. I like that they are a little lighter than fins made of more rubber which not only makes for easier traveling but don't make my feet sink so much. The fins are a little longer than most which makes them a little harder to bag but that is a worthwhile tradeoff. I wear a size 10.5 US running shoe and the Medium Fins fit easily over my moderately sized bootie.

Great fin, FANTASTIC strap
I've used these fins a couple dozen times now and am impressed. I read a couple reviews on other sites that suggested leg cramps were caused because of these. I haven't found that to be true, thus far. What I love: the bungee strap! In and out of the boat is a cinch with these straps--I'd never want to go back to a buckled strap. Also, these are very lightweight compared to other fins I've used. They have enough room in the foot pocket that they can be worn with boots, but they are also closed enough that they can be worn with just dive socks/booties if that is preferred. I typically dive with Cressi Palma 3mm "boots" (socks, really) and they work great with these fins. Cons: the white color gets marked up quickly from the black rubber accents. Also, don't be tempted to wear these barefoot. Most people don't wear open heel fins barefoot, but I've done it a few times anyway with different fins and was fine. These straps will not allow for that. Addressing the cramp issue--I feel like that is much more a problem with diet, exercise, and technique than it is with a particular fin. The same can be said of any sports related cramp. I've cramped once in all my diving, and I was just coming off leg day at the gym and wasn't hydrated. Don't be afraid of these fins because of a few cramped-leg reviewers...I honestly do not know how these would contribute AT ALL to cramping.

these fins are great. fly through the water with ease
these fins are great. fly through the water with ease. love the bungee strap. easy to take on and off. even with full dive gear on and on a rocking boat. fins stay where they are supposed to. Have used these on many many dives. dive buddies and groups always say it is very easy to spot me under water because of the bright green color. have even had some friendly aquatic animals follow along. perhaps they like the color too. I wear U.S size 10.5- 11 shoes. I use the large fin and 10 mares 2mm bootie. the XL fin was way too big. the 11 bootie kinda worked but the 10 is a lot better and snug fit. the 11 bootie felt like the water could pull it off.

Great fins that do a good job of fitting into a middle ground compromise...
These are some really nice fins. Produce great power yet in doing so leave you a bit more tired than you may be from some other types of fins. So if you're worried about cramping or if you'll have the strength then maybe hinged or split fins would be better for you. But if you're willing to put in the effort and feel that your body can handle it these provide great efficiency returns for the effort put in. I find these to be the fastest fins I've tested in getting ready for the 800M snorkel for the divemaster exam. I've tested Tusa split fins, Scuba Pro Seawing Nova's, and Hollis F1's. These are the fastest of the bunch. I feel like the Nova's do a better job in providing good thrust while making you less tired. But if thrust and speed are your goals these win. Conversely, these fins do a fair job of alternative kicks but they are not as good as the Hollis F1's. However the F1's will leave you even a bit more tired yet than the Quattro Plus... So if you're looking for good enough speed and low effort input for a flutter kick the Nova's are great. If you want flexibility to do multiple different kicks and want good speed these are a great choice. And if you're looking for ultimate flexibility and a bit more physical effort while trading a bit of speed efficiency the F1's are great fins. All very nice options in their own right its just down to what is important to the person and their needs as a diver.

Dont mess around with the others. These are all you need.
These fins are perfect. nothing fancy, nothing high tech, they just work. I've had several other pairs of fins...split ones, vented ones, ones with "new technologies and materials"...... forget it.. there is a reason why these are the industry standard choice for instructors. they are everything you need and nothing you dont.. and at the right price. I felt so much better in these in some wicked currents in Komodo than i have with any other fins I've used before. the bungee strap is WAY better and feels much less likely to break than the Scubapro spring straps. Pro tip...if you get white ones you can use them to white balance your camera which is a nice perk. cheers.

Wonderful fins
I've been using Mares Avanti Quattros for years and could keep going with my old ones, but I just wanted a new pair as my edges were becoming slightly curled and the stiffness was not so stiff as new... in time all things tend to wear out and hopefully I'll still be diving enough to wear these out, too. They're that good in terms of allowing my best maneuvering and positioning for the sake of doing underwater photography.

Size, materials and performance
I’m happy Mares did the XS size of white… hopefully they will do with other colors… One of the popular fins around… Will be using in Maldives dive…

FANTASTIC!!!
Robust, stylish, great finish, exact size. My size is 44-44.5 which corresponds to XL. Only drawback is it's long enough to kick the diver behind you if you are leading the dive. Highly recommended as it's all around diving fins.

The best fins in the world.
I’m a very experienced scuba diver and afternoon trying many fin types I have finally settled on Avanti Quattros as my favourites. The level of precision and control you get from these is second to none, I can turn on a dime with a subtle ankle flick, the ridges make it feel like I have fingers on the end of my fins. When you want to go quick the power is there, when finning hard the fin is Very heavy but offers huge power. The only downside is the size, they’re enormous! They can be annoying to pack. Oh and the replacement bungee straps are heinously priced.
