Does this take a slice of Warburtons toastie?

No it doesn’t. I purchased this expensive toaster solely on the answers below which all say yes. However it doesn’t toast the top so you have to take it out once toasted and turn it upside down and toast until it browns the entire slice. I wouldn’t recommend and I wouldn’t purchase it again. Waste of time and money.

Will this toast teacakes?

I think it would depend on the size and shape of the teacakes. The slots will hold bread slices 15mm thick or a little bit more.

Can the toast be lifted out to check, without cancelling the timer? Thanks

No the timer action must be cancelled to allow the toast lift, the timer is very accurate, we toast everything from fruit toast which requires minimum time to muffins which take the longest, normal toast is mid time. The only negative experienced is the crumb trays are at the back and require the machine to be turned around to remove and clean. The machine is very well constructed and I would recommend purchase. It's a Bosch!

Anyone know where to get the two-slot version of this?

Look on the Bosch web site for the model number and it will also give retailers names.

A top brand and sensibly priced.

I like Bosch products and find them sensibly priced, stylish and reliable. This toaster is a tad larger than I envisaged but it does the job beautifully. Easy to clean and with straightforward controls I really like it!

Good quality toaster

Fantastic toaster, better at more even toasting than other brands of toasters i've had, I just pop up the toast mid way through to get my toast evenly toasted and have always had to do that with any brand of toaster, You will never find a toaster that toasts 100% to perfection but it's close compared to other branded toasters. I like bosch in general as are good quality appliances. I also like the colour scheme that matches my Bosch kettle

Swish looking, but flawed toaster

Looks great, toasts nicely. Some flaws though. There's a superfluous trough running around all four of the toaster slots in the shape of a rectangle, this will fill with crumbs that are impossible to extract without turning the toaster upside down. My bagels stick to the clamping mechanism while toasting, and I have to lift the mechanism up with force to get it to unstick.

Superb Toaster

Excellent toaster with really good browning. Seems very well made and good quality. Lovely copper and black colour to match kitchen. It looks very neat with kettle. Great value for money as got in sale.

Broken after two months light use.

Right hand side two slots won't stay down. Two months old and broken. Absolute rubbish.

Looks great, but disappointing quality

The black finish looks smart, but unfortunately the performance and build quality haven't lived up to my expectations of Bosch. It doesn't toast evenly, and the overall construction feels a little flimsy. For a brand like Bosch, I expected something that felt more solid and delivered more consistent results. It's a shame, because it looks great, but the quality just isn't what I'd expect from Bosch.

Quality and functionality

Hi I consider myself a foody I like things wright so here is my review this Bosh toaster doesn’t over toast on full power it browns toast well without burning it so that’s good you never worry about that dreadful burning smell and black smoke olso this toaster doesn’t dry the bread out like other toasters I have used so overall I would recommend this item to anyone without fear of buying something that doesn’t do the job 👍
