Nice addition to my new car.
I like to tinker with my cars. And nothing it more irritating than working around that center hood prop-bar. These are nice. Pretty easy to install the directions are pretty good but there’s a YT video out there that explains one slightly confusing point. Word of caution. Tighten the bolts down HARD. My passenger side wasn’t as tight as it should’ve been and it twisted in place and the shock came off. It scratched the paint under the hood.

Great Upgrade for Mustang 6th Gen 2015-Current
Hated using to prop rod to hold the hood up. It’s clumsy and in the way. This model is made for the 6th Gen Mustang 2015-Current (not Shelby). They are bolt on and pretty easily project. There are plenty vids out there on installation. Tips: Use a 1” bit on the battery cover and put the wiper cable on the inside of the bracket. Did I mention how awesome the logs look. Do yourself a favor and get these.

Great addition
Why Ford ever installed a "prop rod" on a "hot rod" is beyond me. I've been frustrated every time I check the oil on my Mustang GT convertible. I kept asking, why, Ford, WHY ??? Then I saw this on another Mustang and started looking. I found the kit, ordered it and installed it in about 45 minutes.... There are NO modifications to the car body required. The only change to OEM Ford parts is a 1" hole drilled in the plastic battery cover. So, no concerns for drilling in metal, having unfinished edges or future rust from the mod. For now, I'm leaving the the prop rod installed, but plan to eventually remove it once I get a bit more confidence in the gas pistons. But, so far it's working perfectly.

Highly recommend this for you mustang!
Installed on a 2019 mustang gt, really easy to install and looks great. Expect to cut hole in battery cover, honestly these are so much better than that ugly hood prop. Amazon was the best price after shopping around other websites. Highly recommend these!!!

Awesome fit for my 2019 Mustang
I’ve been wanting to get these ever since I had them on my 2017 GT and I finally got around to it. I don’t know why I took so long in doing this again, it’s a small upgrade yet effective. If you’re on the fence about it just do it! You won’t regret it! 10/10

Did Not Fit 2006 Mustang GT
This didn't fit my 2006 Mustang GT. Earlier models are missing the 3rd hood bolt needed to mount the hood bracket. Fender is missing slot for fender hood bracket. Mind has a slot but it's not in the right place and much too small. This info is missing on the item sell page. If your Stang doesn't have the 3rd hood bolt or the recessed fender slot don't buy this kit. BooHoo! Returning to Amazon

Fits my 2023 Mach 1
If I had to do it again I'd spend more and buy the Roush hood lifts. The lower bracket(s) on these Ford Racing lifts are a total PITA to keep the bottom double-D nut aligned properly. But wait, it seems that whoever makes these kits have taken note of the negative reviews and have engineered a way to assist in keeping the nut aligned properly, but only 1 of the 2 brackets in my kit had the feature. There's 2 pins that keep the flat side of the nut aligned properly, which sped up the install on the 1 side by at least 45 minutes. Seriously, the 1 bracket that didn't have the 2 pins, took literally 1 hour to PROPERLY install. I've seen pictures of what happens when you get it wrong and I was determined to get it right. Sadly, by the time I realized the 1 bracket had the 2 pins, it was too late and I was too pissed to take it apart and take a picture. As for how they work once installed? They work like they should. Bottom line, Ford should've had hood lifts installed as a standard feature. Oh wait, now I figured out why they aren't. They can install 100 hood prop rods in the time it takes to install 1 of these hood lift kits.
