At first I tried an alternative cheap neat camera unit which was perfectly good, but I quickly found out, surprisingly, that many car audio units do not have the capability to either flip/mirror the camera image left to right or up down and certainly not both. This is important since many such cameras, used as a reversing aid, require the image to be flipped. A big thumbs down to the audio manufacturers. Enter the Parkvision camera. The unit gives great images, is solidly made and had the capability with its little switch, to flip the image any which way - overcoming the great shortfall of the car audio. Yes its a bit more work to install as you need to drill a hole for the mounts, and remove interior trim to route wires, but was an only 2-3 hours work and that was with me figuring things out as i went. Enough length on the cable to reach with plenty to spare, and while the image it adjustable, i left as is - its a nice wide view, bumper just in shot and can see my tow bar.
