Tara Kitchen, Preserved Lemons, 13.8 Ounce

Well, by coincidence I had seen an Ina Garten cooking show episode where one of her guests served a super easy sauce made by preserved lemons and mayo - they had other ingredients but I could not remember them. So, I simply took a quarter preserved lemon and processed it in my juicer (but you could use a blender or food processor) with 3-4 times the amount of mayo. I happened to use Kensington mayo which has really great favor and freshness but any mayo will do. Pour that on salmon (or any fish) and it is just wonderful. I have since served the same dish 3 times. So easy. I can imagine using the preserved lemons in other recipes but honestly this has become a staple in my pantry.

I had been curious about the flavor of preserved lemons for a while. They talk about them often on "The Splendid Table." This was my first jar and I've really enjoyed experimenting with the adding this unique (and wholesome and unfattening!) ingredient to salads, pilaf, and sauces. I'll be reordering!

Packed with flavor! I used just one lemon for a chicken marinade recipe and was pleased with the flavor and quality of the product. Will definitely buy again. Made in the USA!

I add olives to this with fish and chicken and have a gourmet meal at home. It’s fantastic!
