I think this knife is probably better quality than the set I bought first from someone else. It is heavier anyway, and does an excellent job. I look forward to enjoying it for a long time. At first I was a little unhappy about the knobby projections on the handle near the blade, but I've become used to them now and think they are good to improve the grip and keep the knife from slipping. They could be a bit less rough, and I think I'll take a nail file and smooth them some.The only disappointment was that the sheath that came with the knife is too small/tight. The knife will not go into it at all. I do have a good wood block for my most used knives, and it did fit in one of those slots, so I'm not going to complain about it. But if you really need to keep your knife in a drawer and need the sheath, you might want to consider a wood block instead... or a different knife.

Well priced knife that appears to be a sharp as advertised. The handle is plastic so it does not feel like a high end knife but I don't think it was intended to be marketed that way. The knife cover that comes with is too tight to get it all the way on which is important to preserve the blade edge. If you run hot water over the cover and then push the knife on, it will go in all the way. You may have to do this a couple of times. But bottom line, I think this a good all purpose knife and a great value....but not ready for Hell's Kitchen

I ordered this knife to replace my old ceramic knife, and this one is quite the improvement! Since I got it, I've sliced up tons of food no problem! It's easily the best knife I currently own. I'm overall very pleased with its sharpness, feel, and ascetics.The only thing I didn't like was how difficult it was to get into its sheath; however, it seems to be getting easier the more I use it and break it in.

Great knife for someone unexperienced in the kitchen! Has held up well with daily use, only con is that it is hard to place back into protective sheath but the protection is very nice to haveUpdate 09/04/16: NOT durable. Edge of blade chipped and is now trash

The knife was sharp, but not durable.The tip of the knife broke off after only ONE WEEK of use. Also, the knife does not fit into the slot or case that comes with it. For a specialty item at this price I would expect greater durability. Unfortunately the item is past the return date so I think I am stuck with the item.

Based on positive reviews I gifted this knife to my 79-years-old mother. At first she was reluctant to use. Than, a couple of weeks later, she started (did not want to offend me). The rest is a history - knife got broken in less then 2 weeks!!!In the mean time I got another one for my cousin!?

This is a ceramic knife and you can't use it cut through bone, but it is very sharp and keeps the edge. This was my first foray into the world of ceramic knives and it won't be my last.
