Good backup during Florida Storms

Had to get a new icemaker so I changed the filter also. I really flushed this one out and I was surprised at how long it took for the water to be perfectly clear. But the results are great. For the first ever, I have ice that has zero taste.

Basic granulated charcoal filter. Make sure you only hook up the input end and run water through it for about a minute to wash out all the charcoal dust. After clean water is coming out, then connect the output end to the fridge. Supposed to be good for 6 months of use.

only have ice maker and it took some time before all the black was cleared from the ice, but now is nice and clear and has no taste. if you have the ability to run water through this before it goes to your ice maker it would be a good idea....

Use this filter for my fridge water / ice dispenser. Long lasting cartridge, a bit pricey though.
