I read a lot of reviews on this shop vac before taking the plunge and ordering it. I read so many reviews that gave negative remarks about missing parts, and the instructions not being very good or even the assembly of the product was very difficult. Well, something has changed lol, because I don't think the instructions could have been more clear, or the assembly of the product easier...now, having said that, I was an aircraft mechanic for over 21 years, so maybe it just seemed ridiculous easy to me. I was pleasantly surprised that nothing was missing from my package, and there was no damage all at to anything. I have only used the vacuum once so far to pick up some saw dust and it worked great, lots of power....oh, and this is the quietest shop vac I have ever used! I filled up the bottom container with saw dust, and what a treat it was compared to my old shop vac, it's super easy to unlock the bottom part and slide out the container for dumping. If you want a super quiet and powerful shop vac that can also hold all the tools on the cart, look no further, this is the one to get!

This Vacuum is all in all a fantastic idea. The power of the vacuum is great. The attachment selection is pure genius. However , the very reason I purchased this vacuum is for its ability to roll around and lock the wheels. I own a mobile detail business and this feature is great for hills and driveway work. The left wheel brake stopped working within a week, the second within a month, then the rear wheels have an axle like plastic spoke that won't allow the wheels to even roll anymore. I now have to pick it up and move it around by hand and it is definitely not a light item. I can get the same performance out of a 6.5 HP vacuum for half the cost. I'm really disappointed. I'd love to hear from a Rigid representative or the Emerson Tool Company because I would trade this for two smaller Rigid Vacuums all day long.

I purchased this to keep in the garage for car clean up. It seems ideal for that, comes with the right tools to get into those hard to reach areas of the vehicles and has a nice long hose like the commercial vacuums at the car wash. It has plenty of suction power and does a great job vacuuming. It's on heavy duty wheels with a long extension cord making it easy to roll out on the gravel and get right up to the cars. I was hoping that the blower side would have enough power to help dry off the cars, but it really didn't have enough power for that. The blower could still be helpful to knock off enough water to make towel drying easier or to blow out the interior or bed of ATV or pickup, but I just purchased an electric leaf blower for the car drying part and it works perfectly, so for me the blower did not meet my expectations nor will it be useful. When I received the vacuum, it was missing wheels, casters and assembly parts. I contacted Amazon and they shipped another vacuum, told me to remove the pieces I needed and they arranged pick up for the rest of the package. So correcting that problem was quick and easy. The assembly of the handle was very easy, the casters was easy, but the rear wheels not so much, I had to get help because I couldn't tighten them up enough leaving too much play, but in 10 minutes of drafting help, the wheels were on nice and tight. For a car vacuum I give it 5 stars, for the blower 2 stars at best and then considering the missing parts and inconvenience but taking into consideration how Amazon made things right I have to go with 3 stars for a nice average of 3. I recommend it though because those car wash trips to the vacuum at $1/minute would easily pay for this and you have the right attachments to make the job easier plus since it's a wet vacuum also, it helps clean up any mishaps or spills in car or shop. Hope this helps letting you know what you can expect with your purchase.

I've owned this for over a month but have only used it once. The one I received assembled easily with all the right parts and everything went together well. It feels quite powerful and mine came with enough vacuum tools. Of COURSE the hose is way to short but it is of good quality which I would expect in a $200 vacuum.

The motor on my old Craftsman vacuum burned up. I found the Ridgid vacuum and purchased it because it solved a lot of the problems I had with the old vac. The Ridgid vac solves the problem of how to keep the various brushes, extensions and other parts neatly organized and together, ready to use with the vacuum. Because of its design, the Ridgid does not hold as much as the old vac. I don't find this to be a problem, because the Craftsman filter plugged with dirt quicker and had to be cleaned more often. The flat top also makes a nice place to set tools and parts when working on something.

Recieved 2 of these units. 1 complete and the other missing the filter tray and filter ( part # 832119-001). Need this fixed to change my review

Powerful vac that is very nicely designed. Having the tools neatly stored and accessible is a big plus over my prior Rigid wet/dry and 11 gal, capacity is nice for a fairly compact unit. Agreed that getting the back wheels on is a chore without a socket wrench with a thin 9/16" socket due to a very tight space to work in, see photo. Luckily I had the correct tools handy, w/o them it'd be tough and a bit frustrating. Overall a nice machine.
