The New York Yankees Home Run Almanac: The Bronx Bombers' Most Historic, Unusual, and Titanic Dingers
R**.
Fun Book
This gives little snippets of history of the Yankees. It's fun to read. You can read a few pages and tell your buddies next time you meet with them to watch a ball game or have a beer what you've learned.

Okay trivia book.
Interesting home run trivia. Curious inconsistency - he states that the first "Yankees" home run was hit in 1913 by Ed Sweeney, and notes that the Yankees had been called the Highlanders previously. No mention of the franchise's first home run, by John Ganzel on May 11, 1903. Later, he states that Claudell Washington hit the Yankees' 10,000th home run in 1988. Washington did indeed hit number 10,000, but those 10,000 include 192 hit by the Highlanders/Americans from 1903 through 1912. The team name is irrelevant - Ganzel should have been given credit for hitting the first Yankees home run, with Sweeney just a footnote for hitting the first when the team was known as the Yankees.
