Excellent product, Long used by wife until now when dexterity las limited ability to personally do the hair perm process. Still is highly recommended, plus application curlers, for a long lasting hair appearance result at a very economical price as compared to a salon service.

Once you get the curlers in your hair application is easy. I’ve been using this same perm for my Mom now for over a year. She has fine to medium hair. Leave curling solution for 14 minutes with grey, white and pink rods and she gets nice curls without being “kinky” or fuzzy. I wait between 10-12 weeks between perms and wait till she’s due for a haircut so it’s easier to roll the curling rods. In case there are any “repermed “ ends that are slightly fuzzy they are easily trimmed after the perm.

I have used Ogilvie perms my whole adult life (I'm 59) and I was always pleased with them. Stopped for a couple years as I had a barter going with a local hairdresser but recently lost that and so I bought this. I am highly disappointed. I had no product in my hair and washed before perming. The solution heated up and stank so seemed it was working but when I unrolled a curl at 9 minutes there was nothing. I rolled back and went the full fifteen. Was scared to leave it any longer. I got no curl out of it, I mean nothing! It may have a slight bit more body but even that is questionable. I wrote the company which google told me was Helen of Troy, they wrote back to tell me it had been sold to a company called HRB, which I can not find a site or email for so my only recourse is leaving a bad review I guess. I'd be curious when it was sold to the new company and if thats when things changed because they always worked great when I used to use them. It's not even a matter of the money, it's $15, who cares. It's a matter of all that wasted time and nothing to show for it. Hope my review can save someone else the trouble

I have been using Ogilvie Precisely Right for many years. I love it because it is easy to use, doesn't dry out my hair, and doesn't take 2 hours to finish. Your done in about 35 minutes once you finish winding. It's perfect for my short hair.

Good product

I’ve bought this multiple times the product itself works great and last until i grows out BUT the quality control is aweful. The boxes never have a drip guard, the bottles look different every time, & this last time the heat activator had leaked out into the box & dried before we got out. I didn't realize till 3 hours of rolling hair later that it was missing half the bottle (there’s usually not much anyways so i figured they just filled it slightly less)

I gave my grandson 2 perms with this and it lasted 4 months. He loved it. I did get some tips from my hairdresser.

I only received 3 plastic bottles solution. other perming materials are not included and there is no original box as like in the picture. How can i use the solution with out perming paper???

The shipment is already very bad, it takes forever to arrive. Then when I tried to use it (following instructions written at the box, at first yes it effect but the next day my hair return to its normal and gets extra drier too.

Just as easy to use as the regular home perm I used to use that isnt being sold any more. Very grateful to find this. Great results.
