Perfect replacement

Damaged both of mine on my camper awning and had to replace the base and outer conver. Luckily I didn't lose the screws or rubber dowel from the motor drive cover and was able to reuse those on the new pieces because they're not included, but you're told that in the description when you order them. All pieces were an exact match and fit together perfectly and my awning heads look as though nothing ever happened to them. I'll pay more attention to basketball goals left out at curbs from now on!

Product fits precisely but I was disappointed that the rubber grommet for the adjustment hole on top was not offered as part of the package.

This product came without the Grommet even though it appears in the item photo and IS NOT listed in product description as not including it. I returned the first order because it wasn't included thinking it was an error. When the second one arrived without the Grommet, I contacted Lippert support and was told the Grommet is not sold with this product but can be purchased for an additional $8.95 plus shipping and handling. I went to our local hardware store and found one that works good enough for $.59.

Fits good but good thing I also ordered the back cover too, the screws that hold the 2 covers together were broke out of the back and the front cover flew off somewhere when traveling. I reused the screws that held the back cover to the arm but new screws were not supplied with either cover, I luckily had some small ones that fit. Also no plug for the manual crank hex, not a huge deal as the covers aren't waterproof anyway.

For some reason this outer cover blew off my 2022 Jayco travel trailer. Amazon was cheaper than direct purchase. The cover fits perfectly. The hole on top, for manual operation, is too small for a socket to pass through. In addition, the hole does not align with the "nut" on the awning motor shaft. I used a razor knife to slice away the plastic and enlarge the hole. Dremel tool was not handy at the time. I wanted the shaft to be usable in case of motor failure...which also happened to the OEM motor after 12 uses. After enlarging the hole I could slip a socket down onto the nut and manually crank the motor. Now that the access hole is enlarged, no rubber plug fits. I used high quality gaff tape (look it up) to cover the hole. I also put a single wrap around the 2-piece motor cover to keep it from blowing off on the highway. So far so good.

OEM Parts is the only way to go.
