I was actually quite disappointed. I really liked the look of it, but the harsh reality is it doesn't work that well.With an alcohol stove because of the depth and lack of air flow vapor tends to fall down into the black bowl itself and ignite. While this does tend to spread the heat more and theoretically is safe as the vapor is stuck in the bowl, the more vapor that builds up it begins to starve for lack of oxygen. Any pot with a recessed bottom can really cause The fire to starve.I'll give it four stars for styling, because I really love the look of it, but in practice it's not worth two.When mine arrived, one of the legs obviously had a staple misfire, the perforation was there but there's no staple. The casting of the black pot had multiple sharp edges around the injection holes when it was cast.Again, I really wanted to like this thing. But it just misses on all points other than aesthetic.

the cast metal portion of this is fine, but use caution, the wood base can easily catch on fire

Not as advertised.As you can see not even 8 inches and had paint missing .Keep your money .Cheap made.
