On my Chrysler Grand voyager I could see a car in rear view camera of this mirror going faster than me. Before it disappeared form the camera, I could see that car with the corner of my eye! It's fully independent system, so you can plug it in the 12V socket and it can work on its own or you can hack the rear view camera into reverse light and the picture will change into reverse camera. The connectors are solid and impossible to mistakenly plug them into wrong socket. The rear view camera cable is long enough to reach the end of your trailer, let's put it this way. WARNING however, the lens on rear view camera didn't last long in the harsh weather and now the picture is blurred and distorted as the filter coating perished. Install it inside the car. You need micro SD card to fully set up the camera, but it's easy.

The mirror screen is not very heavy, but the car mirror will move a bit with the added weight. I would have liked to be able to mount the camera upside down and flip on the screen like some others, but can live with it. Rear view is reversed as it would be looking in a mirror. The main thing for the older of us with failing near vision to consider is... when you use a mirror, your eyes focus on the object not the mirror, but with this you have to focus on the screen... takes some getting used to and conscious focusing! Overall though, very pleased, and very quick to install. Currently powering from cigar lighter socket, but will hardwire in the near future.

**Q: Does this record front and rear images simultaneously like others say**
A: Yes, it can record front and rear images at the same time

**Q: Can it be used as normal mirror when off?**
A: Yes, it can be used as a normal mirror although I usually turn it off for driving - I forget often and it's fine, it's just that I prefer the ordinary one.  It turns itself on automatically when going into reverse.  I hope this helps.

**Q: This message comes up when i turn it on:"Sensor fail! Make sure the sensor is ture." How can i fix this?**
A: Not had a problem with mine. Mine is hard wired to the battery but I don't know if that's any different from plugging into the cigarette lighter

**Q: if set up on battery, will it drain the battery?**
A: Not when the car is use I can leave the car for a few days it is fine

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Once installed, a terrific improvement especially when reversing

I had a very similar device (from Jeemac) fitted to my previous car and, on changing cars, did not want to be without it as I feel it makes reversing enormously safer (especially in supermarket carparks)! In my hatchback car, the camera has to be fitted to the boot lid which would make it a very tricky DIY job and I used an auto electrician to fit it. When first fitted, I had problems with the rear camera which sometimes performed perfectly but about 40% of the time, was obscured by an interference pattern. I emailed "Jenny" at Jansite Customer Support and was first offered a couple of suggestions (unplug, replug, check for kinked wire etc) which did not work and was then told I would be sent a replacement camera "as soon as possible". Given that Jansite is in China, I resigned myself to this being several weeks. In the event, it was delivered by Amazon in a couple of days and, since swapping it for the original camera, the system now works perfectly and I am very pleased with it. I must comment particularly on the Customer Support which was terrific. Emails to "Jenny" were answered within 24 hours and, as I have described, resulted in my problem being solved relatively quickly. Good product, great support.
