petite and well designed
This is from Daiso Japan and these are not sold in the American stores as I have looked around. Since I wasn’t taking a trip to Japan anytime soon it was well worth it to get this one. It is small for those of you that don’t know metric, think of grinding herbs size.

Daiso item marked up
Tiny, very shallow, not very useful for even garlic or ginger. The ridges aren't sharp enough to grate like a better quality suribachi. This is marked up (from 5.99) but doesn't reflect quality. I recommend spending slightly more to get a decent product.
