Great pan! I make perfect poached eggs every single morning in a matter of minutes. Easy to use, easy to clean, easy to store. Daily use causes screws and twist-on parts to eventually rust, which is why l had to buy this new one, but l got two full years of daily use before l needed to replace it. Highly recommended!

This is a FABULOUS egg poaching pan. The design of the cups makes it so easy to remove them when hot because of the knob on the top of the cup. The finish of the cups is a dark non-stick coating that truly does NOT stick. The cups are deep enough to hold Extra Large eggs which is a real plus since that means no spillage to clean up. The clear glass lid allows the option to monitor the cooking so the eggs are done to to a specific firmness. I LOVE THIS PAN. It is the THIRD egg poaching pan I have had in the last 15+ years and by far the best design, easiest to clean and I manage to serve perfect poach eggs.

Bought this to replace a 50+ year-old Revere Ware egg poacher we've been using forever. This had a number of improvements over the ancient Revere Ware version (but a few of the features of the Revere Ware poacher I liked better). This had a clear glass top, while Revere provided a solid metal top. Clear glass made it much easier to see how the eggs are doing. But - the Revere Ware knob in the center of the lid was Bakelite, so you could life it easily without a hot pad. This version had a metal knob in the center of the lid - made for the need to get out the hot pad to lift the lid. The Teflon coated egg cups were an improvement over Revere's version. But both need to be sprayed with Pam for easy removal, Modern Innovations being a bit more easy to remove the eggs. To remove the cups in the Revere version, you had to slip a fork into the tong handles on each cup - which at some times wasn't all that easy. The Modern Innovations version little lift knobs - which were Teflon coated. These didn't work as nicely as I had thought they would. They got HOT (they may be metal with a coating of Teflon - a non-thermal solid plastic knob would have been much better, so you could lift the cups out without burning your fingers.) The Modern Innovations egg cups were deeper and of smaller diameter than were the Revere versions, but worked just fine. Can't say that one version is better than the other when it comes to egg cup configuration. I liked the Modern Innovations cup tray with the center knob that allowed you to pick up the entire tray with cups in it. This allowed me to fill the egg cups with eggs in the tray, and then place the whole shebang into the pan, so all the eggs got pretty even cooking time. With the Revere version, I filled the cups when they were in the pan, which made for sometimes getting eggs on the pan and tray - which made for messy, cooked-on egg on places I didn't want it. The cooking instructions on the Modern Innovations box say to cook the eggs 2 - 4 minutes. If you cook for 2 minutes you'll end up with hot raw eggs. As with others reviewing this pan, I found about 5 1/2 minutes a good time. I liked the looks and heft of the solid stainless steel pan. All-in-all, a fine pan - a keeper.

I used to poach eggs in water but this is so much better. Perfect eggs. Easy to clean up.

I absolutely love this pan. Takes exactly 5 minutes after the water is boiling for perfect eggs. Also, it’s very easy to clean. I like it so much that I bought two more for friends of mine for Christmas.

It is very difficult to pick up the little egg cups without getting burnt from the steam. If you put the cup handles on the outside, then the lid won't fit properly.

It is perfect, makes great poached eggs: cooked to an exact doneness, with no mess. Do not need to oil …the eggs slips out of the holder with ease. Cleanup is so easy too.

Since I got egg laying hens, me and my family are eating a lot more eggs. I read that poached eggs are healthier than eggs cooked in the frying pan. I remember about 20 years ago, we had a egg poaching frying pan. It was made out of aluminum and there were no non stick coating in the receptacles. That thing was a pain to clean. This new stainless steel egg poacher is a real dream. The receptacles already have a non stick coating. You just put a light coat of oil inside a cook your eggs. Two minutes to have the white well cooked and the yolk nice and runny. The eggs literally pop out of the receptacle by themselves. The cleaning is a breeze. The pan itself is of a good quality with the bottom thicker so it will distribute the heat evenly. The glass lid allows you to see the cooking in progress. Very good product.
