I let the 11 year old figure it out herself. Give the cubes a couple of hours to work. Best if the juice, cola, whatever you are using is cooled first in the fridge. That is the trick! Then, yes, it works like magic. Took her a couple of tries to figure out what works every time. The hardest part now, is waiting for the cubes to freeze... She used her allowance to buy it and said she would definately buy it again if she had the choice.

Slush cups was easy and fun. A few minor drawbacks was with the kids.1. Making sure they held hole so liquid didn't go flying out everywhere2. Carbonated drinks not really reccommended will work but takes a lil extra time and work on parents part and kids get upset they are not ones doing the shaking. LOL ;0)All in all good family product doesn't require tons of supply bought any drink and shaking and Viola u have happy kids. My three enjoyed it. I'd reccommend to anyone deffinetly worth the cost of 19.99 and for that price u get not one set but two so of u have 3 lil ones to please like me that helps. I'm glad and happy I purchased for me and my family.

I bought the 2-pack of Super Slush Cups for my daughters for Christmas. The drinks do not get as slushy as shown in the advertisement. Although the special ice cubes were completely frozen and I shook vigorously for about 5 minutes, there were hardly any ice crystals in the finished product (about 1/3 slushy). I tried both juice and soda, and both had similarly disappointing results.

Bought two of these for my girls for Christmas. They were so excited - so was I! The cubes took the same amount of time to freeze as ice cubes did, I don't know why other reviewers complain of the time it takes to freeze them. We put all three cubes in each cup. One cup container orange juice, the other sweetened cooled coffee with creamer. Following the directions, I shook them for 2 minutes... we got fabulous results. Perfect orange slushy and the coffee drink was amazing, just like the McFrappe drink we get at McDs. Highly recommend it, we had terrific results!

After being begged for months for these cups, I finally gave in for Christmas for my 9 year old. Shipping time was fast and efficient, but the product is far from "super". Everytime we make anything, we have to do it over the sink or the whole house will be a mess. My child was still happy, but would not suggest this product if you don't want a mess.

My kids are loving the "Super Slush cups!" They try every kind of juice, kool-aid, soft drink, etc... they can think of! It's so easy for even my 5 year old to do herself! They commented that they didn't have to go to the corner market to buy slushies any more, they can make their own right at home! Thanks for a fun product at a reasonable price!

Well, we'd seen the commericals and my son really wanted one and i have to admit, I thought it looked very intersting. It says it works best when the liquid is cold - it should say that the liquid needs to be cold. It's fun to use and my son loves it and he's a teen. The only problem (which makes it not work at all) is that the bags of liquid that you need to use got a small leak after using them many times over about 2 weeks. That was a bummer, cause those are the reason it works. It comes with 2 sets, so we have one left, but I'm not sure how long they'll last. I'll have to see if they sell replacements. Other than that, when those are not leaking, it works fine and it's fun. Interesting note: they seem to be filled with salt water. Would make a cool science project.
