Oftentimes cheap trainers are awful quality, but this one is quite nice.The handles itself are milled construction, meaning they're each one piece of solid sturdy metal, and the blade + latch are held on with high quality pins, which is much better than the screws you see on most balisongs.The handle feels really nice, the coating isnt rough at all and feels nice and smooth. So far, it doesn't creak like a lot of trainers do, and the entire mechanism is very sturdy and very smooth. My only real issue with it is so minor that it's not worth making it a four star rating, but the latch sometimes gets in the way when doing reverse grip flipping moves. The latch itself, however, is very nice and locks the blade quite well.Pros:Milled out, solid handles.Pin constructionStrong latch.Good weight.Sounds good when flipped.Cons:Latch sometimes gets in the way.

This knife is very good however it broke after a month of use. This could be my own fault however the hinges were very loose and moved from side to side as well. I would recommend this knife, but mine did not last long.

After a day of practicing with it the screws became very loose. Its a very nice practice knife if you only plan practicing for a very short amount of time.

I bought this trainer along with several others and this was my favorite. It flips really easily and smoothly, it is very durable, and the heavy weight is good for beginners. Some people complain about the latch getting in the way but it rarely happens and can be fixed easily by taking the latch off or adding an o ring. the latch does not work in open position unless you force it which i would not recommend.

This is a cheaply made butterfly knife that's not even made by Balisong, it's a Ronin Gear imported from China. Do not get this product, mine lasted a day before the knife started falling a part. Not made to last through medium to advanced knife users.

This is a good trainer for begginers. The blade is dull and everything swings well. The knife came a bit stiff but after a few hours of flipping it lossened up. The play in the handle is good, just enough to be comfertable but it keeps the inline with the handle still.So far I have flipped it for about 10 hours and nothing has come loose except for the lock. However since it's a dull blade that cannot be sharpened the lock isn't a big deal. Its not a dangerous knife that can swing open, it's a dull blade. The lock also swings around a lot, which is normal, however it chips off the black pant at the bottom of the knife on the bite handle after some use.This is a trainer balisong however, and I'm sure a real balisong that is made by a balisong company is going to be much better. But If you want to try flipping to see if you like it, this is a good choice. You can do any kind of beginner balisong tricks on this as well as a real one. This one is just impossible to cut yourself with. However you might bruise your knuckles if your are just starting.

Knife is cool. Sent us an olive green knife twice even after we requested the originally requested black knife. Putting in for a refund now because they can't get the order right.

Hours of fun and extremely addicting! Anyone that picks this up is sure to have fun with it. Good to learn tricks with if you don't want to cut yourself. It's very well made and has not broke or shown any signs of damage in the year I have owned it. The paint will chip away from the lock the more you use it, but thats not really a big issue.This thing is so freaking fun. I'm sure it'll make a great gift too.
