I tried all of the Epic bars. I think they’re a good source of protein but don’t love the flavor. They all have an unusual tang to them. I might eat them again during the apocalypse but not before.

After having eaten almost 1/2 a bar, even for survival food... for food to take on the go / long trips, I'd never choose this. I almost bought a bunch of it for that purpose and I'm REALLY glad I decided to try it first. I suppose I'd be thrilled to find it even in a garbage dump were I to be absolutely starving, but even then, would there be enough potable water around to drink for combating the excessive saltiness? I think I'll figure out how to make pemmican. This stuff gives me the heebeejeebies just thinking about eating it again. I apologize to the majestic buffalo for its having had to be ground up into this vile product.

I understand they use salt to preserve the meat and make it shelf stable for longer, but my god these are too salty. I like salt, but this flavor at least is saltier that even I want.

Not my cup of tea. I’d rather not eat and wait for a hamburger patty or a steak. I find grass-fed gamey and that’s what I taste in this bar. If I was making this at home it would be grass-fed and grain finished or the grass-fed would be soaked in milk.

The flavor would be great if it didn't leave a film of fat on your tongue. But pleasant. I much prefer their chicken siracha bar.

Took one bite and threw it away.
