Wilton 4.4 oz Decorator Preferred Fondant Pack, 4.4 ounce, Pink

I really like the small size of this package- it was just right for what I needed. It was fresh and easy to work with. I did not taste it though. I just used it to make cake decorations and they turned out well. I’m very happy with the quality of this fondant for decorating.

The first tour of fondant I used was horrible and I needed something in a pinch. This stuff was smooth, took color easily and didn’t even taste bad. Kids loved it. Great for beginners.

i tried this fondant yesterday. for it being the first attempt w fondant, i learned a few things by trial & error. there should be a “amt of coverage” statement. i assumed this pkg. would cover the outside of a double layer cake. nope… sent my husband w the wrapper in hunt of more. i should have bought the tub size! it tastes good. a nice vanilla flavor. my amateur advice is to try it on a practice cake to gauge how much you’ll need. i am fortunate my husband is a gem & ran to a brick & mortar shop for more.

If you have used Wilton Fondant before, this is exactly what you would expect. Wilton just isn’t great, but that’s not the fault of this shop. The product was no different than if I had purchased it from my local craft supply.The pink is perfect for ‘Simpson’s donuts’ very bright, cartoony, pink.The amount you get is very small. This is noted in the oz - it’s a tiny package but again- it’s as expected as someone who is used to Wilton.The quality was again, as expected. I have ordered fondant from other sellers and it’s arrived so brittle that I had to microwave it just to knead it. This was about as fresh as packaged fondant can feel, so A+ for that.If you’re not familiar with Wilton- it’s pretty stable but can be difficult to roll thin if you want a more advanced looking result. I also find their fondant to be one of the worst tasting fondants around (I love fondant and will still eat it lol). This is a great fondant if you’re teaching kids/beginners and you can help them roll it out.

This fondant was super easy to use. Just roll it out and cut with a cookie cutter. I have never used fondant before and this one was perfect for me to use without any experience. I used it to make polka dots on a cake. I thought it tasted good, but the kids didn't like it.

First I will say this is my first experience with using fondant. This is absolutely amazing. I needed a 50th Wedding Anniversary cake for my parents and for one reason or another everything fell through. I ended up making the cake myself and it turned out absolutely beautiful. Partially due to this stuff right here. We used the fondant in molds to make flowers for the cake. Just pinch off some fondant and smush in to the molds and then pop out and place on the cake. The fondant flowers stuck to the top as well as the sides of the cake with no issues. The flowers held their shape with the cake being made the day before. Left overs lasted a few days and the flowers still held their shape. I thought the taste was also really good. We sprayed the flowers to give them color and used sprinkles. But either way they looked really good. In the future when decorating cakes fondant is my new go to have to have item. I will definitely purchase this again in the future! I would recommend it to any one decorating cakes.

The fondant is easy to work with and holds it shape well. Unfortunately it just doesn't taste as good as a homemade fondant.
