COFUN Meat Grinder & Slicer Shredder Attachments for KitchenAid

My husband grabbed this for me for Christmas and I’ve been using them way more than I expected! Both pieces slid onto the mixer perfectly and felt sturdy right away. The meat grinder comes with everything you need, and the slicer/shredder makes cheese and veggies go so fast. It really makes the mixer feel like an all-in-one kitchen tool instead of just something I pull out for baking. I really love that I don’t have to get preshredded cheese anymore that’s loaded with chemicals and I can just do it myself! Pros: - Fits the KitchenAid perfectly, no issues - Feels solid and well made - Meat grinds smoothly and evenly - Shreds and slices cheese and veggies super fast - Nice variety of blade sizes Cons: - Most parts need to be hand washed - Cleanup takes a few extra minutes compared to fully dishwasher-safe attachments - The parts are all oddly shaped so it’s a bit of a pain to store Honestly, this is one of those attachments that actually earns its storage space. I love being able to grind my own meat and shred cheese in seconds without dragging out extra appliances. If you cook from scratch or like doing things a little more homemade, this set is such a win. It’s been super handy and feels like it’ll hold up really well over time.

I use my shredder attachment every week. It shreds an entire block of cheese in seconds. Easy to use and clean.

Overall I’m glad I bought this set and use some of it regularly. It’s nice to have metal parts (mostly) as opposed to the cheap plastic junk all over the market. Also, I like that they include TWO blades in case you lose one (they are small) which is exactly what happened to my last grinder. There are a few issues to be aware of, though. First, cheese can (and usually) does get stuck in the back part of the shredder, due to the extra space there. Don’t try and shred high moisture or sticky cheeses. Second, the machining on some parts is a bit sloppy. The little round metal semi-circle on some attachments in particular doesn’t fit perfectly, so they sometimes slip off unless you hold them firmly. My last complaint is that there is no fine shredder. It seems to me that most people would use a fine shredder wheel more often than a toy that makes spiral cucumbers. I really wish it had a fine shredder for shredding hard cheeses like Pecorino (or Parmesan) for making sauces. Anyway, if you have a Kitchenaid (or compatible Cuisinart stand mixer) you should definitely get an attachment set like this one. Read about all the additives and chemicals that get put in bagged shredded cheese and ground beef and you will want to shred/grind your own. This kit makes that easy to do. I use the grinder a lot for burgers, and besides the health benefits, there are flavor benefits. When you grind your own meat, you can control the meat/fat ratio and create different flavors by blending different cuts of beef.

Constantly clogged by chicken breast. Works fine for 10 seconds and then it’s clogged. Tried freezing for 40 minutes and then grinding with no luck. No problems with the seller, just the product.

The product was only good for one use. Soaked it in hot water and soap to get the fat off and now everything I touch the machine it’s grey marks all over my fingers and can’t be used

I washed this part of the meat grinder in the dishwasher, and it completely changed color and left black residue on everything. This part was supposed to be stainless steel, which is very disappointing. Clearly, the quality is not what was advertised.
