Very easy to install. It will help to have an extra set of hands to hold up the hood while you replace the strut. Should take no more than five minutes to do.This will save you some money, instead of going to the dealer, which could be very expensive to do.

I had to replace the front hood support on my 2008 GMC Yukon as the hood kept slowly falling on me while I was working on my truck. As it was getting old, I decided to find aftermarket replacements and this one was perfect. Well packed, fast shipping - and it was a direct fit to the car. Unclip the old one off, clip this one right on and that's it.One advice on the installation, if you can prop the hood prior to replacement, or have an assistant, that would be great. I did it solo and it was a little bit painful trying to install while keeping the hood up. Secondly, make sure you get the orientation correct, install the strut in the exact same position as the old one, don't try reversing it around.Other than those two things, it feels as sturdy as the original and I think it would last just as long too.

Fit is spot on. I checked length and the coupler to insure it was the right fit. It helps to have two people because once I removed the old gas tube the hood needed holding while I changed out the old gas tube for the new one. It fit my two thousand and seven LT Tahoe. Four Stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️!!!

Works as it should, replaced my worn out one with no issues.
