TRIDENT-21 (Gen-3) Backpack

Why 2nd best? It’s a little too big for me. I ended up returning it and exchanging it for the Vanquest Katara 16, which is now my now favorite bag. The build quality on these Vanquest packs are the best quality backpacks I’ve ever experienced. Really, every single thing is thought out and made with the best materials. I own a bunch of Mystery Ranch and Maxpedition products, and none of these other manufacturers hold a candle to Vanquest. The pads are soft, the exterior is rugged and weatherproof, the elastic organizing bands are super stretchy and not stiff, it’s awesome!! You are getting more than what you pay for. Seriously. Just buy it. You’ll have buyers guilt for a few days until it arrives, but you’ll get over it as soon as you open that box!

I bought this bag for the purpose of using it as an Active Shooter Medical Bag. The quality is great and if I bought for a different reason I would have kept it. However, I needed a bag that would open flat and I wouldn't need to hunt for everything. This is not the bag to select for any type of Emergency Medical bag where time is critical, which is why I returned and am waiting on my refund. If you're going on a short camping or hiking trip this is an incredible bag and I would definitely recommend it for that.

I have been looking for the perfect bag. After about 20 different ones i finally broke down and bought this one. This one is as good as it gets. I have three other Vanquest bags and three 5.11,tactical bags. The Vanquest ones are so much better. The only thing I would change is to have a handle on the side like the one on the top. Plenty of pockets and all in the right place. I have always been a fan of the orange inside so you can find things. Those little dividers are perfect for organizing the main space. Easy to put on one shoulder or carry like backpack. Zippers are easy to open.

After a year and a half one of the water bladder pouch zippers no longer functions. The rest of the bag is fantastic. It’s my edc slash tool bag. It’s gone camping, hiking, and hunting. I just wish the zipper hadn’t failed. For a small tech bag, tool bag, hunting, hiking day bag this is great. I recommend the bag but don’t know how well the zippers will hold up to multiple years of use. The warranty is already out as well so I’m left with a non functioning zipper one year 1.5 years later. Maybe that’s a good life span but it doesn’t feel that way. I’ve had other bags from this company no issue whatsoever and my maxpedition bags never failed.
