Bought two of these, tried in Samsung an rca, cable will not plug into television.what solution?

The input plugs into a digital/optical audio output port on the TV. If your TV doesn't support this, then I don't believe there is any solution. It is a digital to analog converter and won't work the other way around.

Yes. That is what this unit is meant for. If your tv is Dolby digital be sure to get an adapter that is Dolby compatible.

Does it work on RCA with 5.1 receiver (5 speakers, 1 subwoofer)?

No, The analog output is in stereo....left and right. Just two speakers. The subwoofer should get signal from the crossover in the receiver.
